About
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers four 18-hole, championship courses designed by three renowned architects. Raven Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., was carefully carved through marshes, native wetlands, and towering pine forests. Jones created a layout that is hailed for being both modern and traditional. It is also notable for how it seamlessly flows into the surrounding nature. The golf course offers plenty of variety both in shot options and visual scenery. The diverse holes are accented by dramatic changes in color and texture throughout the landscape. Water comes into play frequently and there are a number of strategically placed sand traps. Golfers are presented with a myriad of different ways to play each hole, which means thoughtful strategy is a necessity. The golf course's large, undulating greens also make proper club selection essential.

New favorite in Sandestin
Loved the layout and challenges with all of the water. Course was in pretty good condition. On course snack shack was closed. Range was in a little rougher condition. Staff was friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!

Nice course
Out of the three public sandestin courses this is the more challenging course. Beautiful views, very well maintained. Staff is Awsome.

Fun course, but starved on the course
I enjoy playing The Raven, but the last few times I have played, the halfway house is closed. Also, there is no water on the course. This was quite surprising in August, and was still the case in November. Some might say, well, just buy drinks from the drinking cart, but it only made it around once. The staff very much need to do something about this, as I'v played many courses, and they all have water on the course and open halfway houses..

Great Experience - Fun Track
Nothing comes cheap in the Destin area but my limited experience tells me the Raven course fits the value profile pretty well. Played Windswept Dines the day before and it would be unfair to compare the courses in any way other the the value. They are very similar in that respect.
Course conditions were very good at the Raven with good grassing on fairways and tees, bunkers had a bottom under well groomed clean sand. Greens were healthy and consistent, they received shots extremely well, but IMHO we’re too dense to roll beyond a nine.
Lots of water but rewarded well placed shots off the tee and into the greens.
The Raven is a great representation of a Robert Trent Jones, Jr course.

Not quite up to par.
Course overall condition was good. Fairways are nice and wide, not overly difficult for mid to high handicappers. Greens were a little slow for my taste.

Good, challenging course
It had been several years since I played the Raven. Really glad I came back. Course was in great condition, pace of play was good, and the staff was great. Fair, but challenging course. Better course for someone who draws the ball, but a few shots work better with a fade. Looking forward to playing again soon.

Crabby Starter Lady !!
Everything was perfect except for the starter who happen to be a lady. I witnessed her yell at a golfer to "go to the tee box". I was pretty shocked

Pleasantly Surprised
Golf course was fantastic. We played Kelly Plantation as well and really enjoyed this course more overall. The only drawback as people mention is lack of amenities. We did see the Bev cart a couple times though. Pace of play was great, we went off around 8:30 on a Friday and played in under 4 hours
