About
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers four 18-hole, championship courses designed by three renowned architects. Raven Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., was carefully carved through marshes, native wetlands, and towering pine forests. Jones created a layout that is hailed for being both modern and traditional. It is also notable for how it seamlessly flows into the surrounding nature. The golf course offers plenty of variety both in shot options and visual scenery. The diverse holes are accented by dramatic changes in color and texture throughout the landscape. Water comes into play frequently and there are a number of strategically placed sand traps. Golfers are presented with a myriad of different ways to play each hole, which means thoughtful strategy is a necessity. The golf course's large, undulating greens also make proper club selection essential.

Disappointing
For the almost $200 we paid last week, you only had car path, grass was socking wet, bad condition to play, and on top, two holes we couldn’t play, as they where cutting grass, trimming etc., as we where playing.
Complete disappointing, for the price we paid.

Don’t play
If conditions were a good score, this place would be a quadruple bogey.
The people, the pace, and the amenities are great, but we came to play golf and for $100+ per person it should be in above average conditions… it is BAD.
Weeds, slooooow greens with weeds, sparse tee boxes, rocks in bunkers, and the list could go on.
Thank you for reviewing the course. Let us first start by apologizing for the poor experience you had during your visit. The current condition is by no means the standard we strive to achieve and are working diligently to improve the course. Thank you for playing and we hope to see you again in the future.
Not what I was expecting
First of all yes it was a hot deal but still more expensive than others on an avverage day. Been wanting to play here for years but expense kept me from it. For what was paid and having to walk so much due to cart path only due to the extreme wet, swampy conditions to then get a warning on the cart monitor about pace of play was a little unnecessary. No driving range, cart path only, and this wasnt mentioned on the notes. Punched greens was so no problem there. Expect that this time of year anyway. If I wanted to walk everywhere I would bring a push cart. At least a heads up would have been nice.

Great course in great shape
Played here after realizing that Bay Point has temporary greens. It was crazy hot but was a fun course.
Good use of water. Greens were aerated this week which made them really slow but that was as expected. Fun course, would play again next time I’m here.

Definitely A Track Worth Playing
I was in town with in-laws and came as a single to get away. Got paired with another single, and the twosome scheduled with us was a no show.
My playing partner and I had nearly identical distances, misses and handicaps— we were playing quickly out of one cart, in other words. Still, we never felt like we were waiting an unreasonable amount of time on a course full of foursomes.
The track was very fun, with a mix of challenges but forgiving of small misses. I found the fairway bunkers well placed when playing the correct tees, the looks into the greens with any pin placement very much the same, and a variety of course defenses that kept it interesting.
Course was due aerification in a few days, but it was still pristine. Rained all day prior to my round, and for 30m on us, and not a complaint. Greens were spotless and rolled true and fair, rough was manicured but still punitive.
I will 100% play it again if I return.
