About
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers four 18-hole, championship courses designed by three renowned architects. Raven Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., was carefully carved through marshes, native wetlands, and towering pine forests. Jones created a layout that is hailed for being both modern and traditional. It is also notable for how it seamlessly flows into the surrounding nature. The golf course offers plenty of variety both in shot options and visual scenery. The diverse holes are accented by dramatic changes in color and texture throughout the landscape. Water comes into play frequently and there are a number of strategically placed sand traps. Golfers are presented with a myriad of different ways to play each hole, which means thoughtful strategy is a necessity. The golf course's large, undulating greens also make proper club selection essential.

I have played the Raven at least 20 times. This is 1st time back in 7 years or so. I love the course and layout but it is getting tired. Needs some TLC. For example. No wash buckets on range. Mens restroom is outdated and dirty. Door needs to be replaced. No waste receptacle or ball washers on course. Clubhouse and deck could be replaced with a nice bar..Some of the crats paths need replacing. I hate to complain but with a liitle updating this couse would be PERFECT. The layout is GREAT and a fun course.

Raven course at Sandestin
Fairways were fantastic. Greens were beautiful although a tad slow despite the firmness. Still a great course. Played the Silver tees approx 6300 yds. Which provides challenges….carry the water/bunkers, layup or aim safe left or right. Staff was excellent!!

The layout is good and enjoyable to play.
I’ve always liked this course. The condition of the course was not great but that could be due to time of year. Many of the tee boxes need leveling.

Great course, fun to play
Just don’t judge this book by the cover. It seems like they pick the grumpiest old men and make them work in the club house to check in people. This happens all the time. Maybe they are just mad that it is a beautiful day and we are golfing and they are just practicing being miserable. No hello, no thank you, no manners. No matter. Starter, cart server and course were great. Maybe you should automate checkin! Pitiful women’s golf clothes selection anyway!
