About
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers four 18-hole, championship courses designed by three renowned architects. Raven Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., was carefully carved through marshes, native wetlands, and towering pine forests. Jones created a layout that is hailed for being both modern and traditional. It is also notable for how it seamlessly flows into the surrounding nature. The golf course offers plenty of variety both in shot options and visual scenery. The diverse holes are accented by dramatic changes in color and texture throughout the landscape. Water comes into play frequently and there are a number of strategically placed sand traps. Golfers are presented with a myriad of different ways to play each hole, which means thoughtful strategy is a necessity. The golf course's large, undulating greens also make proper club selection essential.

One of the best in the area
Best course I played all week in the area. Nothing else compared. Course was in great shape even for winter. Excellent layout, and greens in great shape. Course is normally a little pricey, but GolfNow rate made it a “steal”. Would love to play this course again!
Best of the Sandestin courses
Have played other Sandestin courses (Baytowne & Links) but Raven is the best of the three.7:30 Played early tee time (7:30) and we played in 3 1/2 hours. Holes are challenging but fair and the water although present on a lot of holes doesn't seem to be as much of a problem than at Links or Baytowne. Conditions were great and speed of greens was not super-fast but not slow either. Only complaint I have is that it's difficult to distinguish tees as the markers for silver and white look similar. Not always able to get on at a decent price but if you can, Raven is worth it.
Winter conditions
Course was fine for winter conditions. Played it before it started to green up. Greens are slow. This location really needs to spruce up its pro shop and snack area. It could be really great Perhaps open in the evenings for locals
Nice Course don't nickel and dime me.
We enjoyed the Raven especially carts with GPS-enabled course maps and distances to the hole. Hate courses that have bag guys wanting tips everywhere. Just a personal pet pieve.
