About
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers four 18-hole, championship courses designed by three renowned architects. Raven Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., was carefully carved through marshes, native wetlands, and towering pine forests. Jones created a layout that is hailed for being both modern and traditional. It is also notable for how it seamlessly flows into the surrounding nature. The golf course offers plenty of variety both in shot options and visual scenery. The diverse holes are accented by dramatic changes in color and texture throughout the landscape. Water comes into play frequently and there are a number of strategically placed sand traps. Golfers are presented with a myriad of different ways to play each hole, which means thoughtful strategy is a necessity. The golf course's large, undulating greens also make proper club selection essential.

Great resort course
9/5 - Course was in great condition. Low areas were wet due to recent rains, but greens were rolling well. We played in 4 hours on Labor Day weekend, so pace of play was excellent. Definitely recommend this course if you visiting Destin.

Excellent good course
Usually when a golf course gets 11 inches of rain in 3-4 days, you would think it would be a sloppy day of golf. Raven golf club was the absolute exception to this. Yes, it was soggy but not once did I hit a shot where chunks of mud went flying. The course was in immaculate shape and had a great layout. It’s a must play if you’re in the Destin area.

Nice course
Course was nice given all the rain. Pace was slower than I expected for a light tee sheet but overall not terrible.

Nice layout. When I played it was cart path only because they had lots of rain. That makes it less enjoyable. Very well maintained.

My only complaint of the course is there was no water whatsoever on the course. The course doesn’t go back to the clubhouse at 9 either. There were beverage carts but we only saw them twice. It was 109 with the heat index. This may be due to Covid but I’m not sure. Other than this I love the Raven and will go back again soon.

Very unfriendly staff
Out of town, and met a friend that has just moved into the area to play. I didn't have a collard shirt, due to not having to have one at any course for at least 8 years, but had a very nice pull over and the man at the counter took my money ( which by the way was over priced by at least 20 bucks) and then told me that I had to have a collard shirt that we didn't allow plain t-shirts on our course. Being completely caught off guard, I ask if he could make an exception due to me being out of town, and he said he could but he wasn't.( even the lady working with him was disappointed by his actions)

Great course
As a local, I appreciate having quite a few courses at my fingertips. Enter Raven at Sandestin. It is close to home; I was at the clubhouse in under five minutes. Check in was easy and staff was very friendly. Starter was also friendly and had me join a threesome; the guys in the group were quite nice. As for the course, we played 16B today. Greens were under aeration as you’d expect in August. Staff informed me but I still had a great time. Tee boxes are well kept, fairways were manageable - still challenging but not heartbreaking. Truly enjoyed the course; I will return!

Great course
The course had just been aerated, hence the discount in pricing compared to normal, but still a tremendous course. The staff was very inviting and would love to play it again.
