About
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers four 18-hole, championship courses designed by three renowned architects. Raven Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., was carefully carved through marshes, native wetlands, and towering pine forests. Jones created a layout that is hailed for being both modern and traditional. It is also notable for how it seamlessly flows into the surrounding nature. The golf course offers plenty of variety both in shot options and visual scenery. The diverse holes are accented by dramatic changes in color and texture throughout the landscape. Water comes into play frequently and there are a number of strategically placed sand traps. Golfers are presented with a myriad of different ways to play each hole, which means thoughtful strategy is a necessity. The golf course's large, undulating greens also make proper club selection essential.

Great Course
Overall great course. Pace of play was acceptable, greens ran true and smooth. Extremely soft greens. Several holes were way over watered however in the middle of fairways and around greens balls would plug and have muddy approach and chip shots.
Game Day Game
What a way to start off a Saturday Game Day!!! Excellent service and great course. Even a couple of tricky tee placements. Great staff from bag drop, check in, starter to the drink cart Ladies. Thanks.

Very good course, ruined by slow play!
Overall a nice course, in very good condition. but disappointing due to extremely slow pace of play.
This needs to be addressed by having on-course rangers.

Favorite course in SANDESTIN
As a local and member I highly recommend Raven. Courteous staff at check in, starters who provide insight to the course and fun conversation, and attendants who take care of you and your clubs. Highly recommend to those looking for a great golf outing!

Mud everywhere
I played Baytowne instead of the Raven. Now it had rained earlier in the day but not enough for this. The fairways were damaged in some places because of cart traffic. To be fair these courses are in low lying areas. These are common problems for a Florida bayside course, but there could have been better signage to warn where not to drive greens were hairy in places like an invasive blend was going on. This made putting a challenge to keep on line. Very nice established layout with great surrounding landscapes. Staff was great and friendly.

Well maintained course, excellent staff. Starter was phenomenal, kept things on time, went above and beyond to ensure our enjoyment on the course. Refreshment cart was well stocked and made frequent stops.

Raven for the Win
First time playing. Layout was great. Could see a little of aeration damage but didn’t impact play. Pro shop and food station were standard fair. Turn at hole 9 was not manned to restock on refreshments. Overall experience was great. Will certainly play again when family comes to visit.

A little bit disappointed
I played this course many years ago when it was in tip- top shape. However I was a little bit disappointed that it’s not maintained as nice as it used to be. Greens just not that good and fairways fairly average at best. The course design continues to be excellent which is why I came back but I sure wish it was in better condition.

Raven
Course is always in excellent shape, nice greens and great layout. Played Baytown the day before and it was $110 per player and in horrible shape , I would not pay 1/2 that amount to play it again. Stick to Raven, seems to be the course they care about the most here out of the 3 courses.

Good and Okay
First, I will always recommend this course. It’s a great layout and always in really good condition. I play this course mostly in December. The fee hike to play it 3 month earlier is excessive. And the day I played I checked in at bag drop for 1:50 on Raven and the staff gave me a cart with the Baytowne card on it, no ice in the cooler and only one of the two sand containers was half full.
Just not to the expectations of the price paid. BUT it’s still a great course and you must play it and I will again as well.

A fun course to play at Destin.
I'm a 15 handicap so the course is a little challenging to me even from shorter tees, but it is a fair course if you don't blow your own game up. Great way to spend a day especially with a deal from Golfnow.

Slow play
Have played many rounds on the Raven. The restrooms weren’t very sanitary. No paper towels to dry your hands. There was a fivesome in front of us. Didn’t think resort courses allowed fivesomes. Took close to 4hrs 45 min to play. Upon leaving, the young man where we returned the cart wasn’t too friendly. Expected more from this course especially for $150 round.
