About
Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort offers four 18-hole, championship courses designed by three renowned architects. Raven Golf Club, designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr., was carefully carved through marshes, native wetlands, and towering pine forests. Jones created a layout that is hailed for being both modern and traditional. It is also notable for how it seamlessly flows into the surrounding nature. The golf course offers plenty of variety both in shot options and visual scenery. The diverse holes are accented by dramatic changes in color and texture throughout the landscape. Water comes into play frequently and there are a number of strategically placed sand traps. Golfers are presented with a myriad of different ways to play each hole, which means thoughtful strategy is a necessity. The golf course's large, undulating greens also make proper club selection essential.

Greens could be faster. Might have been stimping about 6.
Ranger could speed up play.

Golf the best!
We had a rain storm the day before so the course opened at noon today. Just fortunate that my tee time was at 12 o’clock. After gathering a foursome at the first tee I proceeded to enjoy one of my best rounds of golf of the winter season here. Of the 15 or so different golf courses that I was fortunate to play so far this year in the Panhandle, The Raven at Sandestin was absolutely in the best shape, even despite the heavy rain the day before. Could be that The Raven staff is gearing up for the Kornferry tour which will be played here in June but regardless, the greens were absolutely perfect and the fairways were green and lush. Regarding the sand, I was able to get up and down on 3 out of my four green side bunker shots; the sand had already dried up enough overnight to be above average! For February I was really impressed. This was not my least expensive round of golf but I was happy to shoot a nice score on arguably the best course on the Emerald Coast!

Disappointed
It was 43 degrees raining and cart path only. The attendant told me it was miserable out and i should contact your company for a refund. I spent all morning trying to contact your company NO ONE helped no t on the phone or the chat services. I am very disappointed I spent 178.65 and could not play or get any help.Please give me a response

A rain storm had just passed through, so we had extra water hazards i.e. the course was really wet. We especially enjoyed the floating green hole - what a treat to celebrate a birthday at The Raven!!

Nice Course!
Very playable course in the best condition of those we’ve played here so far. Lies weren’t so tight - enough grass to get under the ball! There was a hole under repair/ redo that we couldn’t play. Played an a/b hole on the back to make it up. Might have been confusing if we hadn’t been playing with others who were familiar with it. Liked the course and would definitely play it again.

What a bad experience
The day before I played it rained just a little bit.. When I got to the golf course the next morning the driving range is closed. They said that even a drizzle they have to close it down because it’s too wet. Then, I’m on the 11th hole and my golf cart battery goes totally dead so I called the pro shop they said they would bring me another one. I had to carry my own bag for three holes and then I called the pro shop again and they said they would have somebody come out. Finally before I finished the round they showed up. Ugh what a BAD experience.

What a place
This course was in pristine condition combined with a beautiful lay-out makes this a must play course. The surrounding golf course homes are also a treat.

Really enjoyable course
The day started foggy for the first 5 holes. For me the course is just really enjoyable. The greens are quick and true. The fairways are green and well maintained. And the layout is great. The pace of play was 3 hours. How can the round not be enjoyable?
