About
Located right along the water, Emerald Bay Golf Club was designed by Bob Cupp to be Destin's premier full-service, 18-hole championship course. Water is a prominent feature as the course overlooks the shores Choctawhatchee Bay and incorporates water features on 12 of the holes. Oftentimes golfers will face an intimidating shot across a lake or a pond. Emerald Bay Golf Club's sculpted fairways and tight greens are always in excellent condition. There are four sets of tees that make the golf course accessible to most players' abilities and no matter what skill level you are, the views are not to be missed. The views are especially breathtaking on the back nine, which borders the bay. There is also an expansive driving range at Emerald Bay that golfers can use before playing the golf course.

Bag drop staff are not friendly or helpful
We dropped our bags and had sandwiches and drinks (non- alcoholic) in a soft cooler bag and our greeting consisted of “you can’t take that cooler on the course, we have coolers on the cart, move your stuff and we’ll keep the cooler here”. It didn’t feel very welcoming. No bags were placed onto carts and one was simply left there so we had to return from the first tee to get it. Wasn’t even acknowledged when I returned to get it. After the round, the same young lady showed up and just started cleaning clubs without a word. We took that as just going through the motions for a tip so I asked her to stop and we just left. If I managed your course I would inspect the training of the staff that create the first impression of your business. They did not seem very happy! Other than that we enjoyed playing the course.

This course wasn’t worth $20
This course wasn’t worth $20. We played there on a Saturday when it was drizzling rain. I asked numerous times if they would cancel play because of the rain or if they would have normal amenities. I was insured that play wouldn’t be canceled and the amenities would be the same. I did not see a beverage cart the entire time I was there even though I asked for different occasions. The staff was Rude and unfriendly especially by the baggage drop off. I travel to Destin a lot and this is the first time I played golf there and it will definitely be the last. Furthermore the green conditions were not good at all

Great course for the price
It’s a very fun track, challenging in all the right ways for a law handicap golfer. Greens are in good shape, pretty firm so not every shot in is going to hold, but it’s a fair track, very straight forward and a good value for the price. I’ve played it 2 years in a row and it’s always been an enjoyable round. I would recommend this to any friend coming to the area for a great golf getaway at a fair price.

Course has some relatively difficult holes. Has issues with no restroom on the back 9. No water available on the course except via the cart.

Course was good, several tough holes for older golfers. No restrooms on backside and no water on the course at all.
Not bad/ not very good
Muni quality course with marginal maintenance. Greens ok but bunkers not raked. An ok course—- a bit expensive for the course conditions

Good to know course
My advice is to use you driver on par 5 and the balance of the holes is to layup and watch the distance, lots of water to play around.
Lots of fun but it help to know the course.

Not the easiest course in the States but one of the prettiest!
If you guys offer Twilight rounds, the Pro Shop & Restaurant needs to stay open much later than 3PM! You’re losing $$$

Overall enjoyable. Apparent that lots of rounds played on this course. Greens were fast and true. Tee boxes and fairways showed some wear and tear. Played the combo tees; good comprise for older players.
Would definitely play again.
