Seascape Golf Beach and Tennis
About
The golf course at Seascape Golf Beach and Tennis winds through a series of freshwater and coastal dune lakes, naturally making water a prominent feature on the course. It comes into play on most of the holes. Besides the shimmering blue waters, the golf course is accented by the tall pines that blanket the softly rolling hills. The strategic placement of the greens and hazards require some careful maneuvering and accuracy. The course provides a fair challenge that is made all the more difficult by the distracting scenery, which includes views from most of the holes that stretch to the Gulf of Mexico. Golfers who are short on time have the option of a nine-hole round in the afternoons. In addition to the golf course, Seascape Resort also offers a grass driving range and two practice greens.

Good time!
The course is a good challenge for being short course in length. The overall staff was good especially the lady working at the clubhouse bar and grill. She has a great personally and is very friendly to everyone.
One bad apple
An otherwise enjoyable round of golf was ruined by a maintenance employee who went ballistic on me and my partner. We had mistaken a tee box on hole #5 (that was in terrible shape) for a wasteland area. I had dropped a ball to hit in place of a lost ball when this guy pulled up in a maintenance cart yelling profanities about how we were abusing the course. I literally did not realize that I was anywhere near a tee box because it was nothing but bare ground and this yahoo is screaming at us. I thought he might have a stroke.
Needless to say we were rattled for the next few holes and the experience left a bitter taste that will take a while while to dissipate.
This course is good
Golfnow is so easy to use. Also saves substantially on the green fees. Love it!
Final Round?
Course and layout have always been fun. However, due to the course closing to make way for condo’s, it understandably is not being maintained. Greens were rough and tee boxes were in poor condition.
Still, Seascaoe has been a fun course to play over the years and yesterday was ni exception!
Pretty good for the money
Considering the cost as a Hot Deal, this was not bad.
Negatives first: range limited to 150 yds and $6 for 40 balls.
Course layout was pretty good but signs needed and the paths are in poor repair.
Good: the back 9 was quite nice and most of the greens were playable though several could have used a sweep due to wind and pine trees.
Some really good holes over hazards.
GN Hot Deals make this the most affordable gold in Sandestin.
Nice layout in a premier location, but….
…course is not maintained very well. All prior reviews are true. Seascape needs an upgrade! Nevertheless if you plan to play golf and don‘t want to spend $100+ for 18 holes like for many other courses in the Destin area, try this one out. Staff is friendly and they’ve got new golf carts with gps.
Dirt Areas on Greens
Multiple greens with bare areas. Transitions from cart path to fairways are very rough. Of course, water levels are down due to lack of rain. Course is a fun play on a nice layout. Enjoyed playing with two gentlemen from Toronto.
Absolutely terrible!
The course layout is interesting but the course management has let this course go to ruin! You can lose your ball on the fairway cause the grass is so thick! Most of the greens are shot and bare. It's so sad to see a nice golf course go to pot!
The good news is that there was no waiting as no one wants to play this course. Too many better ones around!
Seascape Course Needs Some Attention
Played the course and from the road it looked good. Was not busy when we checked in and we were able to get out right away. After a while we understood why. Course was not very busy and we found out hole after hole how tore up the tee boxes, fairways and greens were. Workers on the course continued working 20 yards directly in front of us as we waited on the tee box to tee off and made no effort to move their work carts or themselves out of our way. Finally ended up teeing off with full obstructions in our line - very frustrating. At the end of our round when turning in our cart the staff acknowledged the course was quite tore up. It needs some TLC and thus the reason we wouldn’t recommend it.
Nice course except for the greens.
We’ve played this course once a year for the last few years. The course would be fine except for the greens. They are damaged and only seem to get worse.
Good course for fun and beginners
I know a lot of people dog this course, and yes it could be better in some aspects, but for me especially as a beginner I feel this course is perfect. There could be more grass on the tee boxes and the greens could be in better shape, but a lot of the complaining about the course and staff is bs. Love the guys there love the course. Not a course to bring your rich business partner, but more so your son to teach to play or your ol buddy next door who plays every so so.
Tired & no investment
Tee boxes intended, greens poor & need work , front 9 is terrible condition, back nine better.
Turns out the course is in line for condo development on it so nobody cares anymore.
don’t waste your money on this one.
Read the reviews
I read the reviews which were not good and I said this I said this sea scape it can't be that bad well it was the greens are in not in good shape and the fairways are bad also.
Lost cause
This course has been a mainstay for many years. In recent years , development has reduced some of the yardage by cutting into the golf course. It is obvious that this is going to continue. I also feel with the condition the course is in that the price is too high.
I understand that the course iss going to be reduced to an 18 hole executive par 3. So sad.
Terrible conditions.
Same as it always is. Terrible maintenance of this course. They haven't done anything to improve the greens. The resort had turned the water off for some reason so the restrooms did not work. The golf course had not been notified. They should not be charging what they are for this course. We only play there because it is convenient. Pace of play was great.
