Indian Bayou
Golf course is an absolute great condition. Course lay out, pace of play, and greens are amazing. Fairways are beautiful and wide open.
9 Hole course
Course is a fun 9 hole course with a great price. Especially when you want to drop in and get a quick 9 in.
Best deal in town
I played this course with my college-age son. We had an amazing experience. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The course was beautiful, and the greens and sand traps were in great condition. It is a bit more secluded and less "touristy" than some of the Sandestin courses. We loved that vibe. Lots of beautiful pine needles covering the tree-lined areas off the fairway. I would recommend it to anyone.
The course was beautifully maintained staff was friendly and I actually shot ok. First time playing here and I’ll be back next year when I’m in town.
Always enjoy playing at Indian Bayou. Just wish the price was a bit more reasonable so I could play it more often.
Still a good value for well maintained course
Looked at other courses in area. This one is a sweet spot of really solid shape with a value around $50-75 less than comparable course. No gimmick holes, only knock is no real memorable holes or signature I can think of.
Wonderfully well-maintained, thoroughly enjoyable
My wife and I bought an 11:45 tee time from Golf Now but arrived at 11:35. No problem. Range was open, no charge for range balls, we teed off at our leisure, electric cart was clean, had operating GPS and was relatively new, beverage cart came around at least twice, bathrooms were available and code to enter the locked door displayed on the GPS screen. Best of all, the course was just about perfect. Greens, tees, fairways and traps were the next thing to pristine. Some fairways were wide and roomy. Others were relatively narrow with trees either side. Greens were relatively fast but not hard to get used to. We can't say enough good about Indian Bayou. My wife loved it and so did I. We will definitely be back.
Best in Destin
Best course in destin, extremely underrated. Staff is awesome. Only finished 9 holes bc it was getting late but payed for 18 & they didnt hesitate to give me a voucher for a free 9 holes. Love this course
Front 9
Very nice staff, greens were fast. We played front 9 , expensive golf in Florida. We are beginners and enjoyed it very much. Pace was pushed by people behind us and we were waiting for those in front, that part was stressful and felt rushed. Would come back again if in the area.
Would Play Again
The amenities were great and the staff couldn’t have been nicer. The course was very well maintained and the rough was VERY forgiving. As in better than some fairways kind of forgiving. I only lost one ball to a water hazard out of 18 holes.
Only critique. If you’re a Midwest tourist like me, it would have been nice to see some palm trees and a little beach here and there, but don’t expect this. If your priority is strictly golf, lowering your score with less frustration on the course, and enjoying some amenities with a nice facility, then this is great course for you.
First time
The staff working that day were GREAT . The pro shop was well stocked. The starter was very accommodating to making sure everyone made their tee time and were matched up to help keep things flowing. Fairways were in great shape. The greens were about average (could have been a little faster). Over all it was a good experience.
