Indian Bayou Golf Club

Really great option if you don’t mind playing a course that’s not on the bay. Layout, staff, conditions … all good.

I bought a tee off.com rate for 11:45 am. I arrived at the course around 9:30, thinking I might be able to get off earlier. The course was not busy so I was encouraged. When I arrived, I was told that since I had a special rate, I could not start early. Management is stupid to have a policy like this. It punishes anyone who is trying to save money. I was forced to hang around for over an hour for no reason. I finally went to the range at 10:30 and found some great guys who were members and had a tee time for 11:08. They welcomed me to play with them. I approached the starter, and he said I could not play with them. I went to the shop and made my case that they wear ok with me joining. After some discussion, they relented and let me join. The course was in great shape, and I had a good day. I did the same thing at Regatta Bay, also a great course, and I got paired early almost immediately with no issues. Regatta Bay management had the right attitude. So both courses are god, but Indian Bayou management has issues.

Nice well maintained Florida parkland course where water is not the on l y hazard. Interesting greens and green surrounds that needed a haircut. If the green speeds had been faster the course would receive a higher rating.

Course was fun, but the greens had been punched. I am sure it's a great course when everything is normal. Price is a bit high in my opinion.

Course was in good shape. The fairways are wide enough to keep you out of trouble. The greens had been recently airriated which normally makes putting more difficult but otherwise had a very enjoyable round of golf.

Greens are punched, so give it a couple days and it will be excellent

I was able to take advantage of reduced afternoon rates. Course was not crowded. Staff was courteous and friendly.

Love this course and play it a lot when in town. However, they had punched and sanded the greens and they were horrible. I understand it has to be done, but when I made the tee time I was told the greens would be fine. They were not and there was no discount.

The greens really rolled good that day - faster than a couple other courses I had played. The layout is a lot more forgiving also than my 2 previous outings at other Destin courses. Will definitely play next trip down.
