Aguila Golf Course
About
The Aquila Golf Course facility offers two golf courses; one is a championship length course while the other is a par-3, nine-hole course. The championship course provides an excellent game of golf for an affordable price. There are scenic views of mountains and downtown Phoenix as well as a challenging layout featuring several water hazards and bunkers. Although the terrain is rather hilly, it is still relatively walkable. The course has an excellent range of holes that each have a unique character, the par 5's are especially notable. Native grasses and wildflowers are also present on Aquila's Championship course, further adding to its natural beauty.

Golfer Reviews
Hidden Gem
I'm visiting from Toronto, Canada, was a bit skeptic about the rave reviews, but they are all TRUE!! One of the best courses I played (conditions and layout) in the PHX area. Pace of play was a bit slow for a Monday round (still 4.5 hrs). Did not see any Marshall, and only once for the beverage cart. If this were not muni course, price can easily be more than doubled! Paired with two local gentlemen (Jeff and Bob) made the round even more enjoyable!!
Great course to play
First time playing this course. Got a god vibe from the start. The staff were friendly and helpful. The course was in beautiful condition even though it was cart path only. A little out of the way but nothing bad. I certainly will play here again.
Course is prepping for overseed so the greens were cut pretty short, otherwise the course is in good shape. Had some great fairway lies (of the few i hit) and the greens held well. We played in four hours, staff is awesome, great day
One of the best municipal course I’ve played
For a municipal operated course, this was a great course to play, especially given the price! We played during the low season so the course was in pretty good shape despite the high heat.
The course layout was pretty straight forward and fairly easy to play, a good course to get a warm up round in prior to hitting the more challenging tracks in Arizona.
Nicely kept muni course
I’ve played this course many times. The layout has challenges and yet opportunities to make your shot. Just enough water and bunkers to keep you thinking. Bunkers and course are as always in very good shape. While the restaurant bar area is more a walk up and order diner, the staff is very friendly and accommodating.
