Aguila Golf Course
About
The Aquila Golf Course facility offers two golf courses; one is a championship length course while the other is a par-3, nine-hole course. The championship course provides an excellent game of golf for an affordable price. There are scenic views of mountains and downtown Phoenix as well as a challenging layout featuring several water hazards and bunkers. Although the terrain is rather hilly, it is still relatively walkable. The course has an excellent range of holes that each have a unique character, the par 5's are especially notable. Native grasses and wildflowers are also present on Aquila's Championship course, further adding to its natural beauty.

Golfer Reviews
Nothing special.
City Course. Nice but definitely nicer around this area. Good course if you have this “phoenix pass” but if visiting I would go elsewhere.
Great Course
Course was in great shape after overseeding. Greens were beautiful. I just wish I played better.
Public course has country club feel!
I was amazed by the layout and upkeep of the course. I felt it was better than some country clubs I played in California recently. The staff and outside services were super friendly. The starter is welcoming and the overall experience was excellent. This course deserves your full attention. You will NOT regret it.
Great affordable course
Affordable but management could improve. Ran into a 5-some that caused a pile up on 7 which added 30 mins + to the round. Otherwise, Aguila is a well maintained challenging golf course.
Great track!
We love Aguila. Great layout. Great shape. Tremendous views.
Highly recommend!

The eagle is always a great place to play in Arizona
Never disappoints
Great conditions after overseed
The new grass has filled in nicely and the course looks and plays great. Not sure how long it has been since over-seed, but the greens were already rolling much smoother and quicker than other courses I played over the last 10 days. This really is the best City of Phx muni and, quite possibly, the best course at this price point in town.
Golf Now vs Paying @ Course
Golf now gave me a hot deal with no options to select walking or Jr’s playing. Get to course and rate was $13 cheaper per adult and $43 cheaper for each Jr.
Still on cartpath, but very nice shape.
Although still on cartpath and lots of back and forth walking, we enjoyed our day on the links. Course is in great shape after reseeding and we are looking forward to coming back. Even the sand traps were playable.
BEST
Best Municipal course I have ever played.
Layout is exceptional. Setting below the mountains is special.
Conditions first rate. People friendly and caring.
Giovanni.
Bad Management
I had a afternoon tee time and I showed up earlier. The manager of the course intervened to tell me that I have to adhere to the tee time as if I had control over my starting time when there is a starter. I like to show up earlier to hit balls putt, etc. as there are facilities for that purpose. I got the distinct impression that because I made this reservation on golf now as opposed to having a city card that this fact precipitated his attitude.
The Eagle never disappoints !
Great conditions and staff
Always worth the drive
