About
The Aquila Golf Course facility offers two golf courses; one is a championship length course while the other is a par-3, nine-hole course. The championship course provides an excellent game of golf for an affordable price. There are scenic views of mountains and downtown Phoenix as well as a challenging layout featuring several water hazards and bunkers. Although the terrain is rather hilly, it is still relatively walkable. The course has an excellent range of holes that each have a unique character, the par 5's are especially notable. Native grasses and wildflowers are also present on Aquila's Championship course, further adding to its natural beauty.

One of Phoenix's best municipal course. Fairways are in great shape and the greens very receptive. A definite gem.
Great Course
This course is amazing and taken care of! This course puts overpriced courses to shame. From checking in to playing and the cart service ☆☆☆☆☆!
Good find
Very pleased at price, pace of play and conditions
Carts were 90 degree rule.
We were very pleased with the conditions and layout of this city-owned course. Some holes are quite noisy from traffic on adjacent roads. No reason to avoid this course now that post over seeding has kicked.
I told the desk we had never played there and one of them was very helpful explaining the course and getting us a cart. She said some carts are on last legs and are being replaced soon. Indeed the other 2-some in our slot had their cart die midway through the back 9. It was promptly replaced by staff. I recommend walking or calling to see if they have new carts before playing here.
We played 4 other courses for the first time and this was one of our favorites.
The best city course AZ!
This is a well-maintained course. And some tour qualifiers are played here.
best public course in Az
different tee boxes for different skill leveis, I play this course 3 times a week and never get tired of it, beautiful fairways, perfect greens and a staff that is excellent and accomodating. The staff has been around for years which means good employers tend to keep good employees. This is the best public course in Az and I've played most of them
An excellent course , especially for the price
The course was in excellent shape. The greens putted true and in as in good as I have seen. The price for seniors is very reasonable, especially given the price of surrounding courses.

Gets better and better
Aguila has become our favorite over the past two years. The playing conditions get better with each new season. They just came out of overfeeding for the Winter and the tee boxes, fairways and greens are in great shape.
A lot of work going on to trim back the landscaping. My prediction is this will improve the pace-of-play during the very busy Winter months.
Course staff are top notch and always fun to interact with. Get out there and play, you, too, will become addicted to this course.

Nice course!
First time playing this course and our group was very happy with it. The greens and fairways were in great shape, staff were friendly and we finished in just over 4hrs, so the pace was great.
