About
The Aquila Golf Course facility offers two golf courses; one is a championship length course while the other is a par-3, nine-hole course. The championship course provides an excellent game of golf for an affordable price. There are scenic views of mountains and downtown Phoenix as well as a challenging layout featuring several water hazards and bunkers. Although the terrain is rather hilly, it is still relatively walkable. The course has an excellent range of holes that each have a unique character, the par 5's are especially notable. Native grasses and wildflowers are also present on Aquila's Championship course, further adding to its natural beauty.

Just because this place is really nice for the money and I don't want you all taking all the tee times! Seriously though, very pleasantly surprised on the amazing condition of this course in the middle of summer. The price is phenomenal even without a member card and the staff was great. Keep it up Aguila, but don't tell anyone! 😊

A Great City of Phoenix Course
Fairways well tended, could usually find my ball in the fringe. Greens running true to form, rolling well. Cups were not "volcano cut". Restroom looked completely renovated, food/beverage with good choices and reasonable prices. Beverage cart service was frequent. Pro shop personnel are helpful. Overall, a very pleasurable round.

Great golf course
I’ve always loved Aguila. It’s a great golf course, designed by one of my favorite course designers, Gary Panks. Course is always in good condition, year round. Gets pricey in high season, but if it was in Scottsdale it would be one of the best courses there.

Great course ruined by slow foursome
Great conditions including fluffy sand in green side bunkers and no soaking wet areas from overwatering
We waited on every shot in 110 degree heat just as the group ahead and several groups behind did. We could see the problem from the 2nd fairway… foursome on guys on 3rd green doing their Biden impersonation… slowly shuffling along
After just short of 4 hours… while waiting 10 minutes on the 13 tee… we had enough and skipped ahead to 16 and immediately started making pars and birdies because we never waited again… wide open. Even went back and played 17 again because it’s a cool hole…. Still nobody behind us. Play ready golf … My daughter can shoot 97 and play in 3 .5 hours because she was taught correctly.

Aguila ia a GREAT challenging course
We always love to come back to Aguila for a round of golf. This place is a great track for the value and kept in very good shape year round. There are a variety of tee's to choose from and a great pracitce area for putting, chipping and driving range.
No houses, roads, just rolling hills and desert vegatation here, just don't his your ball off the grass and enjoy getting to the greens!

Best Muni
This is an outstanding layout and well maintained course. Greens recently punched but the rest of the course in very good shape. I believe this is the best of the Phoenix muni courses. This is a must play when in Phoenix
