About
The Aquila Golf Course facility offers two golf courses; one is a championship length course while the other is a par-3, nine-hole course. The championship course provides an excellent game of golf for an affordable price. There are scenic views of mountains and downtown Phoenix as well as a challenging layout featuring several water hazards and bunkers. Although the terrain is rather hilly, it is still relatively walkable. The course has an excellent range of holes that each have a unique character, the par 5's are especially notable. Native grasses and wildflowers are also present on Aquila's Championship course, further adding to its natural beauty.

Fun playable track that is still challenging for the mid handicapper.
The course was fun and provided 360 degree backdrop of the mountains. I played the second longest tees (silver) and it provided a good challenge for a mid handicapper that doesn’t hit it a mile. Greens were well kept not a lot of unfixed ball marks and the staff was very friendly. Only critique would be pace of play was slow in the afternoon and the driving range had minimal areas of grass to hit off of. Other than that this course was great and I would recommend it to anyone I know.

Great course for a family golf day.

Best City of Phoenix Muni
I feel bad only giving them 4 stars overall but they just aren't trying to be a 5 star golf course. As far as value, for what they are charging, this is a solid 5 stars. The course is scenic, fun, interesting and always in good shape.

Fun time.
Played with a couple from home province. Starter joined us about 4 holes in. I witnessed my first albatross ever. Karen the starter. We we all super excited. We had such a great time. This is a fun course. Will be back. Congrats again Karen.

Fun Muni Course
Being a mid westerner, I really enjoy desert golf. Aguila is a good mid desert course. Views of South Mountain are beautiful.

Great Course
Course was in great shape. Nice wide fairways but trouble in specific areas made it challenging. Greens rolled true but fast. Overall a great course and great value.

This was late late tee time posted @3.20 pm just wish we had play more holes, at one point a golf course employee drove by and ordered us to finish playing and return golf cart to club house!! WOW, we need more earlier tee times PLEASE!
