About
The Aquila Golf Course facility offers two golf courses; one is a championship length course while the other is a par-3, nine-hole course. The championship course provides an excellent game of golf for an affordable price. There are scenic views of mountains and downtown Phoenix as well as a challenging layout featuring several water hazards and bunkers. Although the terrain is rather hilly, it is still relatively walkable. The course has an excellent range of holes that each have a unique character, the par 5's are especially notable. Native grasses and wildflowers are also present on Aquila's Championship course, further adding to its natural beauty.

Good course but always slow
Course layout and conditions are always good. It’s just always slow and a 5hr+ round, weekday or weekend, they don’t enforce pace of play at all.
Few drinking water stations on course, could consider adding more.

Very impressive
I really did not expect this course to be what it is. My only complaint is that the speed of play is a little to slow. They should spread out Tee Times by a few more minutes Or at least wait until the group ahead is on the green before sending out the next group. Other than that, the course is awesome!
Greens are in great shape, course is in great shape and the snack girl is always coming by to check on you. I will definitely continue to play this course.

Not worth the money
My wife and brother-in-law played this course for the first time. Overall it was an unpleasant experience. Staff was unpleasant and rushed us after the first hole because a prima donna golfer cried to the clubhouse about our pace of play after the first hole which was a long par 4 and didn’t take longer than 15 minutes. We were rushed the entire time with only one high handicapper and we ended up waiting on the group ahead of us. Besides that the course was in good shape and the views were nice, but definitely do not bring a new golfer to this course.

Fun playable track that is still challenging for the mid handicapper.
The course was fun and provided 360 degree backdrop of the mountains. I played the second longest tees (silver) and it provided a good challenge for a mid handicapper that doesn’t hit it a mile. Greens were well kept not a lot of unfixed ball marks and the staff was very friendly. Only critique would be pace of play was slow in the afternoon and the driving range had minimal areas of grass to hit off of. Other than that this course was great and I would recommend it to anyone I know.

Great course for a family golf day.

I feel bad only giving them 4 stars overall but they just aren't trying to be a 5 star golf course. As far as value, for what they are charging, this is a solid 5 stars. The course is scenic, fun, interesting and always in good shape.

Fun time.
Played with a couple from home province. Starter joined us about 4 holes in. I witnessed my first albatross ever. Karen the starter. We we all super excited. We had such a great time. This is a fun course. Will be back. Congrats again Karen.
