About
The Aquila Golf Course facility offers two golf courses; one is a championship length course while the other is a par-3, nine-hole course. The championship course provides an excellent game of golf for an affordable price. There are scenic views of mountains and downtown Phoenix as well as a challenging layout featuring several water hazards and bunkers. Although the terrain is rather hilly, it is still relatively walkable. The course has an excellent range of holes that each have a unique character, the par 5's are especially notable. Native grasses and wildflowers are also present on Aquila's Championship course, further adding to its natural beauty.

Very Nice Phoenix Course
Course was in excellent playing condition considering overseeding must have just been completed. Green speed was ideal and they rolled true. Most courses I’ve played the last couple of weeks had shaggy greens relative to recent overseed. I just didn’t think the sand in the bunkers were consistent. Very reasonable greens fee for this time of the year.

Slow day at the best muni in PHX
Just off overseed but played fine and greens rolled well considering. Must have been some slow players today as we watched the tee shots of the group ahead of us the entire round. That said Aguila is great value and a nice layout

Great Conditions at ACG
Though Cart Path Only restrictions were in place, this course was in great shape following the winter overseeding. All was lush and greens, though a little slow, rolled true. Apart from some sand traps being a little thin of sand and pace being a bit slow (due to CPO), this muni course is far superior to many other upper-scale courses in the Valley. Come and enjoy a round here soon … you won’t regret it. Most definitely worth the hour drive for me.

I commend the course management for allowing carts in the rough instead of cart path only during the overseed process.

Dry fairaway
They are letting the old grass die so the can overseed. Greens are still soft and decent but the fairways are dry. No plugs pulled as of yet

Solos beware
They’ll move your tee time back 20 minutes so you have to stand at the first tee and watch a struggling four some tee off during your reserved time.. never seen it

Has become part of my rotation
Played here in May and I have made it part of my rotation when visiting AZ. Course is fair although the par 3s and 5s are somewhat short, the par 4s make up the difference. If I lived in the area, this would be my home course.
