About
The Aquila Golf Course facility offers two golf courses; one is a championship length course while the other is a par-3, nine-hole course. The championship course provides an excellent game of golf for an affordable price. There are scenic views of mountains and downtown Phoenix as well as a challenging layout featuring several water hazards and bunkers. Although the terrain is rather hilly, it is still relatively walkable. The course has an excellent range of holes that each have a unique character, the par 5's are especially notable. Native grasses and wildflowers are also present on Aquila's Championship course, further adding to its natural beauty.

Disingenuous
What a joke. Called and asked if they had scalped fairways in preparation for over seeding. Was told that they were not starting until the following Monday. Got there, was charged $48 to play on dirt fairways. Almost left but decided to play... it took 2.5 hours to make it through 7 holes before calling it quits. I can’t blame them for the horrible golfers with no etiquette in front of us but if they had told me they were scalping I would’ve passed. They decided to grab the cash instead. Won’t play there again because of false info given over phone and ruined Saturday due to not being able to find another round on a functioning golf course upon arrival and seeing course conditions. It’s understood that the courses need to be over seeded. Just be honest about the current conditions.

Nice layout, fun round
This is a really good layout and it is in good shape. A few dead spots, but also enough rough where it truly is a penalty to miss the fairway and around the greens. Greens putt well, pace of play is good, although I played early. Fun track with some very difficult holes and some easier risk/reward holes.

Going Public
I have always regarded Public Golf Courses as a course to play if you have no other choice and just want to play around! However, Aguila Golf Course wiped that regard very quickly the first time I played this course. The course is very well maintained, the greens are rolling with consistency and the rough were cut short enough so you can find your ball. The bunkers are a little thin but consistent throughout. Thank God for the cart lady! It is still hot out there!
I would not mind going public from now own!

Fun Course, would play again!
Enjoyed the course. My wife and I played probably in less than 4 hours, probably closer to the 3 hr 45 min mark. Some fun holes to play and looked like a good practice area and driving range. We didn’t use on this occasion. Pace was great on the front 9, but slowed up on the back 9. Greens were in great condition and seemed to be pretty receptive.

Great Course
First time playing this course and it was well worth the 45 minute drive. Course is in great shape from tee to green. Do yourself a favor and tee it up at Aguila...

Great Value in West Valley
Course and practice facilities were great. Much wetter and lush than expected. Good balance of holes . Both short par 4 holes were very strategic. Greens were fair and good speed.
