About
The Par-3 Course at Aquila is a perfect complement to the original championship course at the facility. Although the nine-hole course is easier, it still has a unique and challenging design. Conveniently located just outside of downtown Phoenix, the golf course offers an affordable option for golfers to work on their short game. Numerous bunkers and native grass roughs add some interesting elements to the game. The serene desert landscape also provides majestic views of the Estrella Mountains and the downtown Phoenix skyline. The course has two teeing areas per hole as well as driving ranges and practice greens.

Great public course!
I have played this course 3 times feb-mar 2017. One of the nicest, most affordable/accessible courses in the area!! I recommend anyone to play this course. I will definitely play again in the future!

The price was low but so was the overall experience
No one greets you at the dro gag
No ice box on the cart
No beverage cart that day
No landscaping
Fairways are far from the tee boxes
However lay out is fine because of the hills and trees
You pay for what you get. Might come back if we can't afford anything else.
Aguila was a great course for the money, fairways were perfect and pace of play was good. We finished in 4 hours.

Wow, took 3 years of Phoenix vacations to find this unsophisticated gem. Every hole looks cool, is varied, and wants me to come back for revenge. I will.

Great city course.
This course is in great shape. Staff is very friendly and helpful. The pace of play was slow. Lots of people out with friends and having a great time on a well maintained course.
If you have the time go out and play the course. Great layout and very challenging for all levels.

Slow pace
Waited every hole. Pace was painful. Tee time was 1:54. Finished in the dark. Probably will not return. Enjoyed course. Nice layout. Greens were nice. Nice views. Just was not fun due to the pace.

Did not have much time. But, Aguilla was perfect and we were treated great.

Great Public Course in Phoenix
First off, I guess no one worked on Presidents Day because everywhere my group checked was booked and only had late afternoon tee times. So we were LUCKY to have found Aguila Golf Course.
We play from the tips and the course played all of the 7000 yards listed on the card because it had rained over the weekend so the fairways were lush and over seeded. Just beautiful for February in the Desert. Every fairway was immaculate!!! I wish I could take this course back to the DFW area with me. Its nice to hit an iron from the fairway and have create a divot.
Now the greens, well get ready because they are really, really fast. On our day, the were really slick. The practice putting area did not do them justice, I admit that it took 3 holes to get comfortable with the speed of the greens. They were amazing.
I recommend this course to anyone in the Phoenix area who wants to play a really good course and not have to pay a steep price. By comparison, today we played McCormick Ranch in Scottsdale and the while the course conditions were good, the greens were not as good as Aguila.

Great value - Great course!
I played a few of the higher end courses in the Phoenix area on my trip and this course was as good as those ones but significantly cheaper. Thus, great value here! Decently challenging and good conditions all around - highly recommend it!

Really not a 4 star
The fairways and greens were very thin. The greens rolled pretty well but there little grass to spin the ball. The mountain views were great and not having homes all around the course was a plus.
I would rate this a 3 star.
