About
The Par-3 Course at Aquila is a perfect complement to the original championship course at the facility. Although the nine-hole course is easier, it still has a unique and challenging design. Conveniently located just outside of downtown Phoenix, the golf course offers an affordable option for golfers to work on their short game. Numerous bunkers and native grass roughs add some interesting elements to the game. The serene desert landscape also provides majestic views of the Estrella Mountains and the downtown Phoenix skyline. The course has two teeing areas per hole as well as driving ranges and practice greens.

Fast fairways and little trouble
Course has nice open fairways which have lots of roll. There is not much water of trouble but some holes and greens are challenging! Thoroughly enjoyed the round in regulation time!

-only saw the marshall once (hole one)

-paid $45, could of went else where for this price
Green had holes
The green had been punched and they did not use enough sand to fill them up. Could not hit s put straight as the holed would make the ball bounce all around. What happened to the sand?
Great Muni
Reasonable price. Course condition were good. My buddy and I were paired up with a couple guys who took a while to find their swing so course marshals were asking us to pick up the pace, as they should, and once we got going, no more problems.

Nice local course
Good course layout , and course was in good shape . Pace of play was about 4 hrs. Only negative commment was no cart service on the course . Will play here again

Excellent public course
Course condition is good. Very nice greens with good roll. Fairways good. All bunkers in good shape. Very nice chipping area and separate putting greens. Small clubhouse area but excellent food. Would play this course again.

Great value, average service.
Arrived at 6:20 for a 6:42 am tee time. Shop wasn't open. Chipped and putted while a shop attendant pulled out a few carts. This continued for 15-20 minutes while more players gathered at the doors and practice area. Doors opened less than 10 minutes prior to my tee time and 10-12 people filed in. By the time I was able to pay we are rushed to the tee and still late teeing off. Busy day in season the doors need to open more than 5-7 minutes before the first tee time. Finished a great round, on what I found to be a very nice course and came back into the shop and the same female assistant/shop attendant couldn't be bothered to look up from a game on her phone. I know it was a game because she didn't even bother to turn the sound off. I passed on the merchandise purchase at that point. Golf course was good though! I'd play it again for sure.

Great day on couse
My first time playing Aquila! Our group enjoyed the course layout and condition. I liked that hole varied giving you different yardages into the greens. Not on same level as Verrado or Estrella Mountain but much better value for the money.

Good golf but that's it
Golf course and practice facilities are very good, but the kitchen and bar area is way sub par. Full course with no drink cart out, nothing available to eat other than a hot dog, and wait staff not particularly friendly.

Very nice course
Great value for the money this prime golfing time of the year. Course in good condition, challenging and moves at a comfortable pace. Would definitely recommend to friends. Practice ranges very nice and convenient in location to first tee.

Fast greens, poor design
The reason I said the course has a poor design is because on quite a few holes, the fairway dips such that people on the tee cannot see where golfers are in front of them. It seems designed to set up people to get hit with tee shots. Also the greens were very fast making the putting difficult.
