About
The Par-3 Course at Aquila is a perfect complement to the original championship course at the facility. Although the nine-hole course is easier, it still has a unique and challenging design. Conveniently located just outside of downtown Phoenix, the golf course offers an affordable option for golfers to work on their short game. Numerous bunkers and native grass roughs add some interesting elements to the game. The serene desert landscape also provides majestic views of the Estrella Mountains and the downtown Phoenix skyline. The course has two teeing areas per hole as well as driving ranges and practice greens.

One of my favorite Phoenix courses
I have bee coming here for 10 years and will continue to play here
This is the best value course we have played.
Very nice layout. Great practice area. Staff is friendly. We have played here appx. 10 times and have always had a great time. 9 and 18 are great finishing holes. Super value.
Great desert course for the money (walking rate of $29 with GolfNow).
Coming down from Alaska for a short vacation, I was looking for a desert course that could make me forget about the cold and still feel like I was in the wild -- and for $30 or less. Aguila gave me all of this.
Great value,wide swooping fairways,pace a bit slow
Huge practice area,pleasant staff long wide undulating fairways.Just a great place to play golf!
The pace was slow(no marshal in sight)but we were walking so no real problem.This is great VALUE!
Great Layout
Great value. Not the typical, winding through flood control and houses design. The valley has far too much of that. Especially in the Northern communities.
Definitely an accommodating, knowledgable and friendly staff.
One of my favorite municipal courses in the southwest.

Great practice course
The Aguila par 3 course is more of a pitch and putt than an actual par 3 course. This was a great practice opportunity for me. The greens are absolutely the best I have ever played in my entire life. They are extremely soft, fast, and true. And it takes less than an hour to play nine, as I was the only person there on a weekday. This is a great place to practice if you want to come early before a round at their championship course.
Great course - the best golf in the valley for under $50
As always, the course was in good shape after overseeding. The temperature was in the mid-80s and a lot of people came out for a beautiful Sunday of golf. So the course played unusually slowly. It took almost 3 hours to finish the front nine. They might want to consider having a starter and a ranger on the course during the weekend to speed things along. The staff is always terrific here and you will have to look very hard to find a better muni.
A great golf experience in a beautiful setting.
This course asks you to use every club in your bag, with a number of long par fours, and a fair amount of water coming into play. Beautiful mountain vistas add to the enjoyment. A great value and a good course to walk.
