About
The Par-3 Course at Aquila is a perfect complement to the original championship course at the facility. Although the nine-hole course is easier, it still has a unique and challenging design. Conveniently located just outside of downtown Phoenix, the golf course offers an affordable option for golfers to work on their short game. Numerous bunkers and native grass roughs add some interesting elements to the game. The serene desert landscape also provides majestic views of the Estrella Mountains and the downtown Phoenix skyline. The course has two teeing areas per hole as well as driving ranges and practice greens.

Great Public Course in Phoenix
First off, I guess no one worked on Presidents Day because everywhere my group checked was booked and only had late afternoon tee times. So we were LUCKY to have found Aguila Golf Course.
We play from the tips and the course played all of the 7000 yards listed on the card because it had rained over the weekend so the fairways were lush and over seeded. Just beautiful for February in the Desert. Every fairway was immaculate!!! I wish I could take this course back to the DFW area with me. Its nice to hit an iron from the fairway and have create a divot.
Now the greens, well get ready because they are really, really fast. On our day, the were really slick. The practice putting area did not do them justice, I admit that it took 3 holes to get comfortable with the speed of the greens. They were amazing.
I recommend this course to anyone in the Phoenix area who wants to play a really good course and not have to pay a steep price. By comparison, today we played McCormick Ranch in Scottsdale and the while the course conditions were good, the greens were not as good as Aguila.

Great value - Great course!
I played a few of the higher end courses in the Phoenix area on my trip and this course was as good as those ones but significantly cheaper. Thus, great value here! Decently challenging and good conditions all around - highly recommend it!

Really not a 4 star
The fairways and greens were very thin. The greens rolled pretty well but there little grass to spin the ball. The mountain views were great and not having homes all around the course was a plus.
I would rate this a 3 star.

Scenic Course
This was a very enjoyable scenic course with views of South Mountain. Unfortunately, the pace of play was so slow we could not finish the last two holes before dark. With a 2:26 tee time, we should have had plenty of time to finish but had to wait on every hole. One of the local players in our group said he had never experienced such slow play at this course so hopefully others won't have the same experience in that regard.

Fun Course
Interesting layout - not too difficult. Fun to play. The back 9 is in better condition than the front 9. Greens are very fast with no flat lies.

Fantastic course to play
Has some time after work to get a round of golf in before the sun set. The course was very nice. Not challenging really, pretty open, had a lot of bunkers which added some creativity to the design. Greens were in great shape, very fast. I loved the driving range. I would definitely recommend this course to any one looking for a great course to play for under $30!

We booked through Golf.com and the price was excellent.
Not much water and not very scenic but the value was great,we just arrived from Canada so it was a great warmup for us and hopefully we will improve.
