Located in the desert just north of Phoenix and Scottsdale, the golf course at Quintero Golf Club is a challenge but with up to as many as nine tees per hole, it can accommodate golfers of all different abilities and handicaps. The rolling, desert terrain of the course features dramatic elevation changes for interesting play. The golf course's design has wide fairways and plenty of water hazards and sand bunkers. The most difficult hole is the par-5 8th hole, which plays uphill with three large bunkers alongside the right side of the lay-up area. Another difficult but noteworthy hole is Quintero Golf Club's third, which has a scenic lake to the left that sometimes tricks golfers into playing close to it with their tee shot for an easier second shot to the green.

Avoid

Been here dozens of times. Never going back. For the price it’s easily not worth the price. Not even close. The greens were slow and bumpy. At 9:30 am! Bunkers wildly inconsistent. The range balls sucked, too. No dimples. Dirty. Way better options down here, now. Too bad.

Badgered by the staff for fake slow play

Staff (including pro near the end of 18) interrupted our play and harassed our 4 some for playing slow. After reaching the course , on time r for 9am, we were told there was a 60 min frost delay. In 40 minutes they came down to the range and told us to tee off, which we did. 5 times during our course of play they harassed us for being slow - the group in front was always a hole ahead, and we rarely saw the group behind - they were a solid hole behind. The older father/son pairing weee so furious with the harassment, we honestly thought a fight was going to break out. Great course, but there was no reason for the continual intrusions for our play - shot a 40 on the front nine, so we weren’t playing slow . Want a refund for our round - pathetic the course employees behaved in such an Ill manner and ruined the day - a very expensive day on the course.

Incredible Experience….5 stars all the way

From the moment I arrived to the moment I left this experience was incredible. The staff was unbelievably friendly at the bag drop, the pro shop, the starter, and the guys cleaning clubs at the end of the round. Everybody was friendly, professional and appreciated us being there. The pace of play was great, we started at 2:15 PM and finished just before sunset on a busy Saturday. The course was absolutely perfect. All the tee boxes were in phenomenal shape and the greens were rolling true and fast. Fairways were lush and green and the course was immaculate….I don’t recall seeing any trash anywhere on the golf course. Having the driving range so far from the pro shop is kinda weird, but the range is fully stocked with Titleist practice balls, plenty of grass tees, and two decent sized putting greens. This course will be in my regular rotation when I am staying in Scottsdale which is at least 1 week a month. Can’t wait to go back!

Spectacular Course

I was able to play the course for $160 on a mid-day Monday.. The course is absolutely gorgeous and perfectly manicured from tee box to green. Each hole held a spectacular view of the landscape. The greens were fast, true and fair. We got behind a few groups at the turn but the pace was still very good. This course earned its top honors for a good reason!

Excellent golf with amazing views.

Worth the drive out…staff was amazing. The course, including practice area, was in tour level condition. Elevated tee boxes added to the experience, above and beyond the norm often found on a desert golf course.

Great Public Track Outside Phoenix

Loves - great condition, great layout, possibly the fastest & hardest greens I've ever played, we were first off the tee in the AM so we set the pace, staff was fantastic and friendly, love that it's out in the middle of nowhere and way outside the city.

Hates- pretty overpriced in my opinion compared to other $350 courses I have played. Also I am a 9 handicap and didn't break 100 for the first time in probably 5 years. The course and greens are tough! I'm a pretty good putter and probably had 8 three putts.

Definitely put this one on the list if you are in Phoenix!

Spectacular in Every Way

I would rank Quintero as one of the Top 3 public courses in Arizona in terms of the imaginative layout, the immaculate conditioning, how you are treated and the fun that you will have. The quartet of par 3s are fabulous, with panoramic views from the tees of three of them. It can be pricey but worth it. Be sure to pick the correct set of tees for your driving length and overall abilities or your experience may suffer.

Best public course in AZ!

I was on vacation and played Quintero for my first time. This track will be on my playlist every time I come back to golf in AZ. It’s like a course you might expect to play a Charity Match with Phil Michelson and Tiger! All I can say is it’s a fabulous track and a must play when in AZ for all golfers!

One of the best golf courses I've played; magnificent

Had the luxury & pleasure to play Quintero golf course in NW Phoenix in early December'21. It was a great experience. The course layout was magnificent. Condition was excellent. Staff was super friendly and very helpful. One of the best places that I ever played - Will definitely be back!!
