Quintero Golf Club

This was my second time playing. First time I played was in late August for my birthday and I happened to play for $39. This last time I played we got a GN deal for $55 and the rate for everyone else was $109. So we were happy already.

Staff is excellent, pace of play was on point and the overall setup is for golfers. The course layout is well done, but very challenging. We played on the last day before they overseeded and the course was still in very good shape considering their plan. You could tell on the greens that ball marks were no longer consistently being repaired. Nonetheless the balls rolled true and the greens were fast. The staff really goes out of their way to make sure you have a good experience at this course. Both times when I played they were consistent on this point. The August experience was a little better as it was my first time and the conditions of the course were a little better. I would go again if possible. Definitely a top course in the Phoenix area.

Enjoyed the course as it was in very good condition and because the par 3's are very scenic. My hesitation in recommending it is due to its high cost (for golf and food/drink) in relation to many others that are lower and closer and its temporary facilities. They could also improve the signage (got lost a couple of times). If they had good facilities and were reasonable in costs, it would be a 5 star for sure.

Played in summer at a great price. Had a slow group in front of us and a fast group behind so felt rushed. Quintero is my favorite Phoenix course. Always a challenge and the 108 temp didn’t make it any easier.

The bag drop was on the ball, the check-in was smooth, the practice area was expansive and Sean the starter gave me more tips than I could remember and everyone of them was pertinent to having a good round, If only I had remembered more of them.The greens had been top dressed a couple of days before but still putted very well and the layout of the holes is amazing. Tees and fairways were generally very good. That steep uphill dogleg right par 5 with the blind lay up tee shot is quite the hole. I'd never seen anything quite like that. The holes are separated nicely, the carts and cart paths were in great shape and at the moment the twilight rate is a bargain. Play it if you get a chance. There are a lot of lost balls around this place. It may seem a little odd to take a half mile cart ride to get from the less than impressive pro shop to the practice area/first tee but it is well worth the trip. I did miss a sign and got turned around trying to get back to the cart return. Stay on the road, not the cart path.

One of the most enjoyable rounds I’ve ever played. Greens were nearly perfect. The bunkers and fairways were in good shape also. The tee boxes were a little thin in some spots, but in generally in good shape for mid summer. It’s a challenging course, but well worth the drive.

I have always wanted to play this course, but it is a little ways away from my home. I got a great deal on GolfNow and couldn't turn down the opportunity. The course is challenging and has a variety of holes and was in very good shape for the middle of the Arizona summer. There are elevation changes throughout the layout and you need to hit it pretty straight to score well. The greens are bent grass and very fast. I would definitely return to play again.

It may take a little longer to get here, but I never remember the drive after I hit my first drive. The layout, variety of holes and elevation changes would be enough, but the course conditions on top of everything else make this one of the special courses in The Valley. Best group of par 3’s anywhere.

Overall really liked the course. Conditions for this time of year were about as good as it gets. Fun layout that's fairly challenging but not too tricked out. Greens were a bit on the fast side, which I tend to prefer. Staff was friendly and helpful. The only thing that marred the round was the 2sum I was paired with. I appreciate they're enforcing slow play rules, but the Marshall needs to make sure he's talking to the right people. I'm not hitting 2 off the tee 75% of the time, or spending an inordinate amount of time in the desert looking for my wayward tee shots, nor am I going to speed up my play because I was paired up with a couple hackers who are playing from the wrong tee box.

Played this course for the first time with 2 friends. Great layout, challenging, but fair. The only downside was the pace of play. A twosome in front of us would play the farthest back tees, even if they were closed, and didn’t hit very well. After leaving the green they would sit in the cart 2-3 minutes before taking off to the next tee box. Frustrating to say he least. No ranger on the course to politely move groups along.

Great course well maintained. Greens were excellent. Pace of play is always good.

This is a must play when in Arizona !

It’s always a pleasure coming out to Quintero to play 18 holes of golf. Today the greens were very firm and fast.

Beautiful mountain vistas with elevation changes. Roomy fairways with very fast slopey greens.
