Located in the desert just north of Phoenix and Scottsdale, the golf course at Quintero Golf Club is a challenge but with up to as many as nine tees per hole, it can accommodate golfers of all different abilities and handicaps. The rolling, desert terrain of the course features dramatic elevation changes for interesting play. The golf course's design has wide fairways and plenty of water hazards and sand bunkers. The most difficult hole is the par-5 8th hole, which plays uphill with three large bunkers alongside the right side of the lay-up area. Another difficult but noteworthy hole is Quintero Golf Club's third, which has a scenic lake to the left that sometimes tricks golfers into playing close to it with their tee shot for an easier second shot to the green.

Must Play!

Best public course in Phoenix area in my opinion. Played today and course is absolutely perfect. Teed off after lunch and had entire course to myself. Absolutely love this place. No homes around just the desert and an incredible course. I like The Boulders and Troon North but this is my favorite. A must play!

Over Rated

Bunkers were filled with rocks, dead spots on the greens, and “players assistants”, their name for a marshal, who lack decent judgement and manners. The course plays slow at 4 hours 26 minutes target pace of play and you have to driver the slow shoddy carts for 10 minutes from the proshop to get to the practice area and first tee. When you finish you have to drive another 10 minutes back, some of the worst routing I’ve experienced in 35+ years of golfing. But the main issue was the marshal, rude, aggressive behavior, and really had a negative impact on the round.

Course was stunning and in incredible shape for summer. Greens were true, fairways were green, tee boxes were well maintained. Only complaint is that if you book as a 3some and a 4th joins you, they will put you on a cart with the single. Never seen a course make two strangers ride together before.

Purest course in AZ right now.

Summer conditions at Quintero were phenomenal. Not a patch of dead grass anywhere on the entire course, absolutely beautiful course. Greens were quick and rolled true. Have played most courses in the valley this summer and this was by the far the best conditions. 10/10. Staff was also great. Was the best $55 I have ever spent.

Always worth it

It’s the best public course in the state for a reason. 4 weeks recovering from punching and could barely tell. Greens rolled true (a little slow) and the grass everywhere was green and lush. Not a dead blade of grass on property. Worth every penny of $110 for an early morning tee time. Super friendly staff and amazing warm up area. Be warned: bring bug spray or stop by the starter to coat yourself. If you are debating on spending the money, just do it and you won’t regret it!

Favorite Course

Played on 6/30/23. This is my favorite course! Greens are still a little sandy from being punched but the ran true! Another week or 2 and they will be great. The layout is the best in AZ. Will definitely be back a few more times this summer.

Not that impressed

The course has some great views but is not worth the price. Also, they don't serve Bud Lite so I guess they are trying to make a political statement? Will not play again. Rather play at a more affordable and friendly establishment.

Beautiful!

One of the most beautiful courses I’ve ever played. Greens were punched but that’s just part of golf courses! Can’t beat the views, and the staff was awesome!

Punched Greens

Played on 6/9/23. The layout of this course is second to none! But wait 3-4 weeks for the course to recover from a being punched (the entire course was punched). Greens were still basically sand. Will definitely be back in like a month
