Magnolia Point Golf & Country Club

The course was outstanding and in great shape. U fortunately it took almost 5 hours to get around. The group three ahead of us was painfully slow putting three groups on a hole at the same time just waiting for them to finish

Offers some elevation changes and course conditions are highly improved. Only negative was that greens are a bit bumpy and slow. They are working on improving the green constantly and are making great progress.

The course is challenging and in good shape but it took almost 5 hours to get around. No staff are monitoring the pace of play. There was also someone who we originally thought was a staff member who gave us free drink cards while we were playing. When we looked to cash them in we were told that they didn’t accept them. Later in the round (17th hole) we saw the same guy and we was very drunk and was announcing/commenting on our play and how to hit the ball to the par 3. He was right up in our faces.

Many of the greens and t-boxes were in poor shape and were recently sanded. I have been playing this course for several years and was disappointed. The greens are struggling. Fairways were in pretty good shape, however.

We played Magnolia Point for $38 and it was okay. Greens needed to be cut and the tee areas needed work but they were playable. Fairways had certain areas which needed work but overall playable. Course took a lot of rain so there were areas that showed erosion and were soft. But again for $38 it was ok.

This was a great course to play. I think the course would challenge a lot of golfers in a wide range of skill levels. It was a little drive to get to the course but it was well worth it. I’m going to recommend this course to everyone who wants to come to Florida to play.

For this time of year, course is in better condition than many other courses.

Really enjoyed my round at Magnolia Point. Wasn’t sure what to expect given the green fee (only $30) but was pleasantly surprised. Fun layout with good conditions. The tee boxes had seen better days, but the fairways were firm with plenty of grass and the rough was nice and lush. The edges of each hole had some rough patches with dirt or sand but not enough to come into play on most shots. Greens looked great - rolled a bit slow but still true. Would definitely come back to play again!
