Some of the greens had not been cut and were extremely slow
Also no cart girl on a warm day
Overseeding Greens!! They are slow and uncut!! Do not play until Mid-November!!
GolfNow should have an alert for overseeding greens!! Very slow and not enjoyable! I have played Magnolia Point many times and this is by far the worst experience. Bunkers are muddy….it hasn’t rained in a hot minute too! Avoid until Mid-November!!
Nice course
Loved everything about it except the 9th hole. At 5' tall and 95 lbs, I could only drive 120 yards on a good drive.
I am unable to drive over the 100 yard marsh without loosing my ball, so I set my ball on the other side of it.
Value for money
The course Layout ist interesting, Online the greens are not as good as last year. Staffel was friendly. I will come again.
The amenities were clean and nice. The course needs help. Average greens, fair tee boxes and fair fairways. Brie, the cart girl was very nice.
Mostly fine
The rough if pretty thick after all of the recent rain and inability to get all of it cut for fear of bogging down the heavy equipment. Fairways also a little furry in some low areas for the same reason. Most greens have grass on 90%+ but are still fairly slow. Not the slowest I've played, but bottom 25% for sure. Got paired with 3 very slow players and no ranger showed up until hole 15 to tell them to play faster (didn't help) - 4 hr 45 min round.
Mags again
The back nine still a little wet from the recent rain, but the front line is great. Overall, course rating give it a seven or eight out of 10 the back nine is wet, but very playable. Greens are in very good shape, except for the short part three on the front line, number two.

Full Disclosure
Only 9 of 18 holes available to play holes 1 thru 8 & hole 18. played twice considered 18 hole round. Did not allow you to book 9 hole round. Also cart path only rule was in my opinion unnecessary and confusing since lots of the holes didn’t have a continuous path from tee to green.
Thank you for your review. We apologize for the inconvenience of only having 9 open. With the amount of rain we received, we were unable to open the back 9 due to the drainage issues we have. As you have stated, we don't have cart paths from tee to green but we have lines painted that show where carts go. We're sorry to hear your experience wasn't all you desired and we hope that you give us another chance when the course is dried out.
Nearly 5 hour round
Place was way slow this day… at one point, there were 5 groups backed up on one hole. It was a holiday weekend and they were busy… but the pace of play was crazy slow this day.
Thank you for your review. We appreciate your feedback and apologize for the inconvenience of the slow round. Our ideal pace of play is 4.5 hours (15 minutes per hole) but, due to the holiday weekend, we had a lot of newer players and our course is not the most player-friendly golf course. We hope that the BOGO drink cards helped ease the pain of waiting on your shot. We hope you give us another chance to earn those 2 stars!
