The golf course offers a scenic finishing hole that has two lakes, joined by a cascading waterfall with a fountain in the background. In addition to the two golf courses, Granite Falls Golf Club boasts extensive practice facilities including a short game area with a practice bunker, two putting greens, and a grass driving range with target areas.

Ugh.

$100 and a Saturday round of golf you'd think they'd cut fairways and greens....fairways were so long you couldn't control the golf ball. $3 for a cup a coffee?

Greens are great!

This course has greens that were replaced around a year ago with a newer type of bermuda. I last played it before the renovation and it was in good shape then. The greens are holding well, but are fast. Stimp was around a 12. Greenside bunkers have been refilled with a fluffier sand and no longer have a hard pan feel that many of the courses in the valley have. Great layout and fairways were excellent.

Wait a couple years

The course is not in playable condition. The greens are too hard and too fast to play. This is due to a 2021 reseeding of the greens. Unfortunately they are going to do this to their other three courses also.

The approaches are almost muddy so there is no way to bump a shot and anything on the green will not hold. They don't over-seed the rough anymore so you either have a hardpan shot from dirt (or mud) or a muddy chip shot around the greens. Save your money and don't play this course until 2023.

Great Course but Hard Greens

I had been wanting to play the South Course at Granite Falls for some time since I loved the North Course when I first played it a few years ago. I love the layout of the South Course and the greens were very fast, which I prefer. However, they were rock hard...like concrete. After much rain the previous day, I was not expecting that. Any shots I landed on the green ran off the back. Trying to land short and run on did not work because the fairways were soft from the rain. I was told the greens are still pretty new so hopefully they will soften up some. Again, other than the excessive firmness of the greens, love the course!

Greens

The course has been improved recently. The fairways and tee boxes are a lush dark green. I understand that the greens have been redone on some holes. I think they need some time to mature as the greens were very hard packed. The apron around the green was usually very soft, but the greens were very hard. If you landed on the apron the ball would stop suddenly leaving a deep ball mark. If you landed on the green, the ball tended to roll all the way to the back no matter where on the green you landed and no ball mark. Putting was difficult as the greens were extraordinarily fast and did not hold a line very well at all. Once the greens grow and mature a bit more the course will be perfect.

Comfortable but Challenging

Not overly penal like many desert courses, but still makes you think a bit. Always worth the drive.

Good shape B4 overseeding.

All the other courses in area r in overseeding. 279 rounds on the tee sheet today. Pace was just under 4 hrs. Not bad. Tee to green fine. Greens okay for the most part. A couple were a bit "fuzzy." Still fine.

Friendly playing partners I was paired up with.

Granite-south/Sun City Grand

First time playing this course and was thoroughly impressed with condition of play through the day. Tee boxes were lush, fairways generous but”challenging “ and the greens were fast and yet fair for this time of year was exceptional and I will certainly look to play here again.Had a great day, thanks......
