Course Highlights
Cimarron stands out for its exceptional course conditions, with lush fairways and well-maintained greens that consistently impress golfers throughout the summer. Wide-open fairways, large greens, and a smooth pace of play make this a layout worth revisiting.

Cimarron Golf Club combines challenging golf with excellent landscaping and scenic views of surrounding mountain ranges. Although the course has many difficult elements, with four sets of tees it can easily accommodate different skill levels and abilities. The design of the golf course features numerous strategically placed bunkers and also desert waste areas. Water hazards come into play on a few holes as well. Functional yet attractive landscaping complements the course. Cimarron Golf Club, in addition to the golf course, has many practice facilities including a driving range, putting green, and short game area with a bunker.

A day on the Course is Better than a day a work

In spite of the rain earlier in the day the course was in good shape. Had a blast.

This course is just about right for retiries, length is perfect from the back tees.

Design is great with enough undulations to challenge good players. If you select the proper tee box, you can have fun in this golf course.

Course needs attention

This was the first time playing this course. They had been closed for three weeks for aeration and letting the Bermuda come in.. Should have stayed closed longer. Most fairways were brown with spots of green lots of sand on fairways from overseeing there were spots mostly approaching the greens that were so saturated with water that you felt like you were walking on a sponge. For 28 bucks a person I guess it was ok but I would expect more from one of the grand courses.. For the same price I could have a nearby course that's in better condition.. Will probably have to try again in the winter when the course looks and hopefully plays better...

good value for the money.

This course is challenging -- greens were in excellent shape -- fairways were dry with areas of no grass, however they were ready to air rate. Sand traps are strategically placed for a challenging round.

Fairways are in poor shape at this time

This course will be closed for three weeks on June 25th. The fairways are a mess with lots of muddy and brown areas. The Bermuda grass has not come in yet. It is difficult to find a good location for a shot from the fairway. I am sure it will be in better condition when it opens in late July.

Keep it in the Fairway

The Cimarron course will give you fits if you do not keep the ball in the fairways. Almost all the holes have fairways which are bordered by undulating hills, desert scrub, and/or sand. Mix in a few water hazards and you have a date with a bloated golf score if you do not keep your shot in the fairway. The greens were beautifully maintained as was much of the course. Cimarron is worth both the trip and the effort to play.

Fun course, if your a long bomber makes the par 4& 5 birdie material. Course staff were super friendly and made multiple trips to ensure play was kept up.

Some fun/challenging holes!!!!

We have played Cimarron before and enjoyed it. It has some very challenging holes, but well maintained. Lots of undulations! It was a perfect weather day and pace of play was excellent that day.

Good value if you like pins on the edges!

Our 4some played in 4 1/4 hours on a fairly crowded afternoon. This course plays 6800 yards from the tips and under 6400 from the next tees forward... they would benefit from a combo tee, but none offered. The course was in very good condition (fairways and greens). My only complaint was the pin placements. There were only 2/18 pins that were in the middle of the green, and one of those was on the crest of a huge mound making it a difficult putt on any angle. Every other pin was a flagstick or less from the edge of the green. These greens are quite large and carry some difficult penalties for anyone who goes at the pin and short-sides himself for a chip. I stopped by the pro shop after the round to ask if this was the status quo for pin placements and was told that it was the norm. I like the course and the value on GolfNow was great, but will probably play elsewhere where I can at least go pinseeking on a few holes!

Don't miss.

Nice course in Sun City Grand. Course was soft, which is difficult to find this time of year. Greens were moderate, not too fast, but not slow. A few problem areas on the back 9 fairways, but overall worth your time and money. Course has a bit of everything: water, bunkers, mountain views, tall palms, and desert areas (which can be played from). If you are willing to play in the heat, the course is offering $20 for range balls, cart, 18 holes, and lunch after 11:00 am.

Poor signage - had to ask where things were. Very slow play.

Signage that tells where range balls are, cost of range balls, where restrooms are, where to pick up carts, bag drop, how to get to first tee from golf shop, etc. would be very helpful for non-locals. Play was much too slow -quit after 10th as it was stacked up 3 groups at that point.

Target golf

A little "tricked up" and not very forgiving, with placement of rocks and water, but a very attractive course. Be sure to Play It Forward and play the correct tees for your handicap in order to have an enjoyable time. Was still cart path only due to recent over seeding, so it was slow going at times.
