MountainView Country Club
About
MountainView Golf Club at Saddlebrooke sits at an elevation of 3,200 feet, offering both dramatic elevation changes and spectacular views. The course sits at the base of the Catalina Mountain range near Tucson, nestled into the mesquite-covered foothills. Gary Panks, the golf course's designer, saw the potential of the landscape and utilized the many natural hazards. He also incorporated subtle mounding and strategically placed bunkers that blend seamlessly into the natural terrain. Panks created a fair challenge with this layout but the wide, player-friendly landing areas makes the golf course approachable for beginners. The second hole is one of the most scenic holes on the course but it is also one of the layout's more difficult holes. Golfers will find a mesquite-filled wash crossing the fairway before facing an uphill shot to a green guarded by trees and bunkers.

Pleasant Afternoon
Nice course with some great views of the mountains. Greens were not great and the pace was slow but the scenery made it a very nice puting.
mountain view 1-17-2016
It's been about 6 years since I've played this course. Usually they charge more than I can pay. I happen to get a deal on golf now. I expected this course to be in better shape although it was in good shape. The greens were slower than expected. The fairways were not as full and tight as I expected. The sand traps sand was really nice, even though I didn't want to be in there. Overall I would love to play again this week if I can find another deal for my friends and me. My 9 yr old son also likes to play golf with my friends and myself so I would think it would be a great benefit to give teens a good discount so we can afford to let him play more often. Several courses do allow teens to play with a discount. These are are future golfers. The more they get to play, the better they get and the more they want to play.
Slow Play...
Pace of play was very slow. Didn't see a single marshall out speeding up some of the slow players. Took five hours to play 17 holes after skipping two slow foursomes on hole 12.
Course is moderately challenging with lots of desert, so lost some golf balls. However, course was well maintained and had beautiful views.
Good course
Greens were very fast but true. Lots of nice views and a good price
confusing start
Starter function very confusing. Course in good condition. Played around 4 hrs. Very nice views everywhere.
Little to no course maintenance
The course is very poorly maintained. The bunkers had not been worked for quite some time and all were full of animal tracks. Most of the cups on the greens had so much sand in them that you couldn't put the flag in so that it stood upright. A couple of months ago the course was in good shape. Now it is not worth playing.
Breathtaking views
Mountainview is a beautiful course. It's fun to play and offers panoramic views of Southern Arizona desert. We will play it again every chance we get.
Great Place
Very enjoyable, pace of play was outstanding and the course was in great shape. Will play again.
Enjoyed our day!
We definitely enjoyed the course and our day. The front desk staff person was not friendly.
One of my favorites
you won't be disapointed with this course and the views are wonderful!
Beatiful course around the mountains
Had a great time, course was in good shape, greens a little hard. Played with three great guys, which would make any course seem fun to play.
Thanks Jerry
Greens
New greens are a major improvement but are hard, ball rolls well
Beautiful Course
Nice course, good rate. About golf now, I hope in the future you will resume free booking for regular customers.
This course is fun to play
Many deer, bobcat and even large rattlesnake crossing fairway.
Rated food low since nothing was available after golf. No 19th hole available.
rainy day fun
Course was in excellent shape and staff really nice but there was no food or drink cart and only access to water in 2 locations on course. I got cups of ice upon starting and didn't realize I had to get water before starting. even though this passed was still an awesome day despite a brief rain shower.
staff & course very good. saddle brook golfers, rude & crude!
unfortunately some of the saddle brook residents that own their own carts have no clue when it comes to golfing courtesy. pack your sleeping bag if you happen to end up behind a foursome with owner carts. then again, not surprising when you see a big blue plate on the cart.
