Mountain Vista Golf Club - San Gorgonio Course

After playing several courses in the area I believe this course really gives you a really enjoyable game for your buck.

I have played both Sun City courses many times and they are always very well maintained and in as good of condition as any. Most holes wide driving areas but enough trouble lurking. Some of the greens are very difficult.

Course was a little shorter than I expected, but well kept and challenging around the greens. A fun course that will test your accuracy but also leaves room for error. If you are out for a fun round of golf you will enjoy this experience.

Pace of play was very good. Conditions were very good considering the heat lately. I enjoyed the round. One of my favorite courses for the price.

I have been to the Desert for 5 years on vacation and have found a hidden jewel. A beautiful course with great vistas. Every thing was top notch, including the friendly staff.

All was good except for dried out, possibly diseased greens. They still ran true, but not very green.

I am always looking for courses that work for both me & my father. He is older so courses that require big tee shots that carry hazards are not something we look for when picking a course we both can play. This course is not difficult of the tee but protects itself with greens that are challenging to approach & putt. It was in terrific condition and played at a decent pace...we finished in 4:15. The only shortcoming was that this course does not utilize the main clubhouse so if you want to hit some balls first you would have to go to the main course first then jump in your car & head to the other clubhouse. Next time we will play the main course for the extra $10-15.

Played The Santa Rosa course earlier in the week & thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience. So we expected to have the same reaction at San Gorgonio. Not so! The woman in the pro shop was curt & unfriendly. She did not make us feel welcome & furthermore, she reprimanded another guest (maybe a member??) in front of my husband. It was very rude. Then the staff member who brought our carts to the bag drop questioned why we would bother playing in the windy conditions, told us the carts had been used in the morning & might lose their charge. When we asked him what we should do if that happened he replied, "walk". Again, extremely rude to paying customers. We asked if there was a Marshall on the course to which he replied "yes"... but there wasn't. We caught up to another foursome on the 8th hole & then waited on almost every shot after that. Not cool...

Your course is beautiful & should have been a great experience worth repeating. Unfortunately we won't be back.

Course was very well kept and good shape. Played in 4 hours bur it was quite windy.

Excellent value.. one of the best in the desert. Friendly course in great shape. Greens run true, well maintained bunkers and lush fairways.

GolfNow required a $66 deposit . Playing with a foursome the deposit was deducted from the total and not charged only to me. I had to collect the deposit from the other players... a real nuisance that I have only seen at Moubtain Vista.

Really enjoyed the round even though we waited on almost every hole. Great weather day with almost no wind. Greens and the overall course was hard and fast which actually helps an old guy like me shoot 73.

This is an excellent course in tip top shape. Each hole designed to challenge all levels of golfing. A pleasure to play with good pace of play even in high season. Thank you Sun City.

Play the course and judge for yourself...well worth the freight and the amenities are excellent!

Absolutely gorgeous day and wonderful course. I do wish I had read that it was a shotgun start, that's not as much fun. Temperature was in the 80s, fairways were great, just an outstanding Valentine's Day.
