Lots of bang for buck
You know when you drive in that you'll enjoy the conditions. It is beautiful. We had a tee time on the sister course, but it was newly punched and they got us off on this course. Good ice machines and restrooms appropriately placed. Plenty of practice ares. Range balls were only $3 a drop. Met cashier, cart boy, and marshall. All were professional and ready to help. The houses are not very close to the wide fairways. Fairways were very good. Greens were good for mid June and putted true. I was in four traps, one was hard and others were good. I took the wife and beginner son. They found the course tough due to length of ladies' and forward tees. We did not expect that at a retirement community. We teed off late morning on a cooler summer day and we rarely got near other groups. For the price we paid on Golfnow, I would be silly to complain about much here. As a tip, be careful on tee shots around the turn. There's some trouble you cannot see and the only map was on tee boxes rock. It can get very windy this far northeast of Palm Springs. I will go back soon.
WATER HAZARDS DIFFICULT
you have to think your way through the course instead power thru.
Great Day Out!
Came here with my wife to play in the early afternoon. We were sent off early and maintained our own pace throughout. Course is in good condition as the hot weather approaches.
Excellent day out!
Pleasant Surprise
First time playing. To the 16th hole, had the course to ourselves, and were allowed to tee off early. Fairways in great shape still, but the greens were pretty rough, putting was difficult. Very friendly and pleasant course. A little water made it somewhat interesting. If under $40 in the summer, a good value.
San gorgonio
No amenities but a very fair course in great shape. Friendly staff and good pace of play.
Great Course
It was a great course very yough but in great shape
Played 2 days in a row!
Beautiful resort golf course in terrific condition. Beautiful setting among homes, but very wide fairways, very few trees in play. Plenty of challenge for us high handicappers, with fast undulating greens (but fair), fairway bunkers aplenty for errant shots, enough water features to have to play carefully. Would recommend back tees for low handicappers. We enjoyed our first round so much that we took the same tee times today. Played each round with another couple, both times with comparable skill level (100+). We will sign up to play the second Mtn Vista course next time we are in the Desert!!
Fabulous Course
We were four and played 18 holes beginning at 11:00. The check-in lady was not so friendly but nothing upsetting.....just never smiled. Our round was superb! Beautiful fairways and greens. Difficult to read the greens sometimes, but challenging. It was not crowded at all and at one point we thought we were the only ones on the course. We were able to move at out own pace without worry of holding up the game or waiting for anyone. Loved it. We plan on playing again. Course will knowledge will help next time.
Great Value
The conditioning of the golf course was fantastic and the pace of play was excellent. Furthermore, the course provided great value ($49 per player). Not sure if this is the norm or just an anomaly, but it was very windy for the majority of our round, especially on the front nine. It made what is a pretty straightforward layout, quite a challenge.
While there are more scenic and dramatic layouts in the area, it's hard to match the overall value provided by Mtn. Vista - San Gorgonio.
nice layout
I played the San Gorgonio course and found it to be in excellent condition and well maintained.
I played as a single and was the first one off that morning, and of course got through in under 2 hrs/40 minutes.
I enjoyed the views of the mountains and the longer par 4's ( 450 yds and over) on the back nine.
Will definitely play this course again
Marshall required
We got a weekend rate of $62 which was reasonable for this course. I would have been disappointed if we paid much more. Foursome ahead was very slow and fell 3 holes behind. Fairways were trimmed a little low.
Great Experience!
This Golf experience was flawless.....what a beautiful place, be a first time golfer or seasoned player or even just around for a ride to accompany a friend you will totally enjoy the day!
Unusual set up.
Played this course yesterday for the first time and was impressed. Nice easy par 4 to start then a tricky 180 odd yard par 3 with water all round the back. Have to be careful. A bit unusual having 3 par 5's and 4 par 3's on the front nine, but the back nine is more conventional. The fairways are generous, but some of the bunkers lacked a bit of sand. However, as I wasn't in too many of them, it didn't really matter. All in all, a very pleasant round of golf in decent company.
Best golf value in the Coachella Valley
Two very good courses. The courses are good for both regular and new players. Numerous tee boxes for different levels of play.
Beautiful scenery
Very nice course considering it is built in a housing area. Laid out so houses don't come into play. Only complaint is no beverage facility of any kind. There is the odd machine in bathrooms area but without somebody who has played there you would never find them. Cannot get a beer anywhere at course, they say to bring your own but did not know before hand.
Value plus
Conditions are as good as it gets in Palm Springs big value great course and not too difficult . Greens very undulating . Tees perfect. we will be back
Great Course!
Really enjoyed our game. Somewhat challenging and beautifully groomed. Putting was a challenge!
Highly recommend this course!
This course is well kept
The fairways and green are immaculate and it was a very nice golf course to play. The pace was as good as it can get. I liked it a lot and is considered one of my favorites that I have played so far.
Nice place to golf
Nice place. Friendly staff and well kept course. Greens were great
Sun City
This course was in Excellent shape. We totally enjoyed the course.
If it is hot, take lots of water. The course staff was friendly and helpful. Make sure you have some loose dollars to tip the person ready at the 18th green to clean your clubs.
