Golfer Reviews
Beautiful scenery
Very nice course considering it is built in a housing area. Laid out so houses don't come into play. Only complaint is no beverage facility of any kind. There is the odd machine in bathrooms area but without somebody who has played there you would never find them. Cannot get a beer anywhere at course, they say to bring your own but did not know before hand.
Value plus
Conditions are as good as it gets in Palm Springs big value great course and not too difficult . Greens very undulating . Tees perfect. we will be back
This course is well kept
The fairways and green are immaculate and it was a very nice golf course to play. The pace was as good as it can get. I liked it a lot and is considered one of my favorites that I have played so far.
Nice place to golf
Nice place. Friendly staff and well kept course. Greens were great
Sun City
This course was in Excellent shape. We totally enjoyed the course.
If it is hot, take lots of water. The course staff was friendly and helpful. Make sure you have some loose dollars to tip the person ready at the 18th green to clean your clubs.
cart path only detracted from an otherwise nice round
Course was in such great shape that we couldn't see the point of the cart path only rule. Hate that . Ended up walking further than we would if we were just walking the course. That said, I really liked the course. Fairways immaculate, greens a bit slow but in good shape. Really good par 5s.
The course was in good condition
Having just been re-seeded the course was in good condition
There were virtually no golfers on the course because of the CART PATH only rule. Which gave me some exercise and plenty of putting practice on many of the greens.
The fairways were wideopen with bunkers and ponds posing no difficulty at all.
Putting greens
The greens are too slow than average courses and have too many patches. They need a lot of attention. Good course if you are just starting. Good value for the winter time.
Good and fast greens require some touch or good by
getting ready to shut down for overseeding in a week or so but still was in decent shape and greens pretty fast still.
This is a great course for various level of players
Course is to be closed next week, but is still in pretty good condition. Enjoyed the play and was monitored by a marshall to keep the pace of play up.
Great Venue
No signs to identify the course by name////other than that & the Ranger from behind /not forward thinking our 4 some was slowing play.....asked us yo allow yhe 2 some through.....then we waited on evry hole....prior to that we kept pace.....problem was in front of us, I belt=ieve he finnaly realized f=that.
Superb course, especially at GolfNow price.
Fairways and greens were immaculate and bunkers were well maintained with plenty of sand. At $28, this course stacks up against those at triple the price..
Nice courses in a Retirement Community
The course was well maintained and not very busy. We were playing just as a couple and moving very quickly until some members came out of their house and joined the field in front of us. The courses are in a beautiful setting in a retirement community up in the hills. We were told at that the courses that side of the freeway could get high winds but conditions were superb the day we played. We finished in well under 4 hours and enjoyed an early happy hour with extremely reasonably priced drinks and food at the clubhouse.
For late in summer course was in very good shape. staff was very bored in what they were doing , did not priovide any direction and offer any amenitie
would play again for the value. easy to get to the course
great value
Overall the course was in very good shape, especially for this time of year. Greens were firm and fast but still in good shape. Very reasonable green fee price especially compaired to other courses in the area.
Was pleasantly surprised. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.
Was pleasantly surprised at the course. Greens were in above average condition with quite a few of them very challenging. Nice use of water features. SUPER value.
Pace of play was good. Generous fairways off tees keep everyone moving
Mountain Vista - Santa Rosa Course
There are two 18 hole courses in this community. The San Gorgonio and the Santa Rosa. Both are excellent values. I would love to have given this course 5 stars, but it doesn't quite reach that level. Fairways were dry - they are going to begin the overseed in 2 days - but they were still in very good condition. All divots filled, and very consistent overall. Tees were nice and level. Greens were very smooth - although relatively small. The 2nd nicest greens I have played in the past 12 months - 2nd only to the Indian Palms Indian 9 and Mountain 9 - very nice greens. The only drawback of the Santa Rosa 18 is that it is a relatively short course - measuring less than 6,200 yards from the back tees. But with trees, traps, and water coming into play on many holes, it was still a challenge. The Mountain Vista courses are two of the best values in the Coachella Valley.
Great desert value
Both courses are excellent, fun yet challenging. There are some sneaky long holes that require a bit of length from the back tees. Greens are always in good shape that roll true with good speed. The only knock I have is there's a female staff member that works the pro shop that is very rude and acts as if your wasting her time. This is the only reason I didn't give this course 5 stars, poor custom service on her part. Still a great course to play if your in the desert.......GO PLAY!!
