Nice courses in a Retirement Community

The course was well maintained and not very busy. We were playing just as a couple and moving very quickly until some members came out of their house and joined the field in front of us. The courses are in a beautiful setting in a retirement community up in the hills. We were told at that the courses that side of the freeway could get high winds but conditions were superb the day we played. We finished in well under 4 hours and enjoyed an early happy hour with extremely reasonably priced drinks and food at the clubhouse.

great value

Overall the course was in very good shape, especially for this time of year. Greens were firm and fast but still in good shape. Very reasonable green fee price especially compaired to other courses in the area.

Was pleasantly surprised. Give it a try. You won't be disappointed.

Was pleasantly surprised at the course. Greens were in above average condition with quite a few of them very challenging. Nice use of water features. SUPER value.

Pace of play was good. Generous fairways off tees keep everyone moving

Mountain Vista - Santa Rosa Course

There are two 18 hole courses in this community. The San Gorgonio and the Santa Rosa. Both are excellent values. I would love to have given this course 5 stars, but it doesn't quite reach that level. Fairways were dry - they are going to begin the overseed in 2 days - but they were still in very good condition. All divots filled, and very consistent overall. Tees were nice and level. Greens were very smooth - although relatively small. The 2nd nicest greens I have played in the past 12 months - 2nd only to the Indian Palms Indian 9 and Mountain 9 - very nice greens. The only drawback of the Santa Rosa 18 is that it is a relatively short course - measuring less than 6,200 yards from the back tees. But with trees, traps, and water coming into play on many holes, it was still a challenge. The Mountain Vista courses are two of the best values in the Coachella Valley.

Great desert value

Both courses are excellent, fun yet challenging. There are some sneaky long holes that require a bit of length from the back tees. Greens are always in good shape that roll true with good speed. The only knock I have is there's a female staff member that works the pro shop that is very rude and acts as if your wasting her time. This is the only reason I didn't give this course 5 stars, poor custom service on her part. Still a great course to play if your in the desert.......GO PLAY!!

Enjoyed the course a lot. Sneaky long from the gold tees. Look forward to playing again.

Great Course for Everyone!

This course has a wonderful layout and generous fairways. The are some challenging holes along with some shorter holes. The greens are undulated and all of them were in great shape! I look forward to playing this course several times this year!!

Sunday Morning Round

Played with 3 of my buddies this past Sunday. Great course hidden on the desert side of highway 10 in a little community so maybe gets looked over by people in the area. Course was in great shape, greens were challenging and true roll. No 9th hole food clubhouse or cart person so be aware of that.

San Gorgonio Course - Nice Variety of Holes & Well Maintained

This course is extremely well maintained. Lush fairways, nice flat tees, and fast and fair greens. Even the sand traps were fairly consistent throughout - with at least 1-2 inches of soft sand on top. It has a very interesting variety of holes. The front 9 plays much shorter than the back 9. And while there are at least 3 reachable par 5s (even from the back tees), I would not consider this an "easy" course. There are plenty of hazards that will penalize errant shots, and the wind is a factor on this course - as it is on the north side of the 10 freeway. I would not pay over $50-$55 to play here, but for $30-$55, I will definitely play this course again!

Excellent condition

You could look long and hard to find a bad lie. All. Divots were filled . The course lulls you with a rather easy but tricky front nine but bangs you on the back side. A real treat to play.

Very well maintained.

Well laid out course, holes are easily connected and kept our game moving. Very generous fairways with lots of safe areas. A beverage cart person would be a plus, this is the desert.
