Worth playing
Course was in great shape, greens are challenging we throughlyenjoyed the course
Excellent In Every Way
There is nothing beside my score that I can criticize. The grass was green and trimmed expertly, there were no soft areas...everything was as it should be. My wife complained that the differential between the blue and red tees was insignificant, and she was correct. However, the whites, ahead of the reds made it more equitable.
I will certainly return.
Forgiving Course-tale of two nines
I enjoyed this course for the nice conditions and its forgiving nature. Very wide fairways/rough (for a desert course) with plenty of margin for error. Greens rolled nice and true with fair speed. Front 9 has 4 par 3's and the back has 2. They make up the distance (for the unusual number of Par 3's) on the back 9 with 2-3 400+ yard par 4's. Set in a retirement community...never saw so many personal customized golf carts in all my day. FYI-No bevvie cart and 9th/10th hole is no where near the clubhouse. Go Play!
A very gorgeous golf course
It was an absolute privilege to play this fabulous golf course. Smooth fairways. Trimmed right to the edges of the beautiful homes that line the fairways. The entire course was landscaped to force you to take many pictures especially with the mountain views in the background. The greens were excellent and rolled true.. My son had 3 birdies and 6 pars on the front nine that we were able to play due to the slow play.
You'll love this course!
The fairways and greens were in immaculate condition. You can tell the members look after their course here.
The greens have enough slope change to challenge the best of putters. Bunkers and water are strategically placed so that all handicaps must work their shots to best manage the course.
Car Path Only Not Good
I reseaarched all courses in Palm Desert before making the tee time online. Many are "Car Path Only" but this course did not have a NOTE when I made a tee time. It was a very dissapointed round. 3 of us had to take several clubs for the fairwasy shots as many golfers know. It took us 5.5 hours to complete 18-holes as the foursome in front of us were not ready for the Carpath Only situation.
The course condition was very good. We always don't care the guy awaits the golfers at the last hole car path to just wipe the clubs. We wished we have known the Carpath Only Rule before the day of play as we don't like it.
Great time
The Course was beautiful. The greens were fast. Great time can't wait to play there again.
very enjoyable
Fun course. Hit your targets & get rewarded. Miss & well trouble is a plenty. Lots of undulations to the greens. Made to focused putting.
Very good conditions for the time of year
The course was in very good conditions for mid-late October and the greens were excellent. Biggest issue was we arrived to discover carts were restricted to the cart path which is a major issue is you have a bum leg, so I only managed 12 holes. No service at the bag drop and only friendly service was at the 18th green when we had finished. I'd rate the course as interesting, playable and in good condition. I'd rate the the service as generally not very visitor friendly and needing improvement. It would have been nice to have been forewarned regarding restrictions on cart use and we would have looked elsewhere.
Fun times
I played this course before without any issues. This time they were redoing the 6th or 7th holes and the green was in terrible shape and a couple of fairways had a lot of mowing trimming left all over the place. Other than those minor issues it was a fun day of golf.
GREAT COURSE
THE COURSE WAS WELL MAINTAINED, THE STAFF WAS COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL, AND THE GREENS WERE IMMACULATE. GOOD TIMES..
Best deal in town
Booked hot deal on Golf Now and it was a steal. Granted it is August here in the desert but the weather this day was pleasant. course in good shape and nobody around. Sweet!
Great time
Great course and great staff wiill be back for sure. Thanks
Lots of bang for buck
You know when you drive in that you'll enjoy the conditions. It is beautiful. We had a tee time on the sister course, but it was newly punched and they got us off on this course. Good ice machines and restrooms appropriately placed. Plenty of practice ares. Range balls were only $3 a drop. Met cashier, cart boy, and marshall. All were professional and ready to help. The houses are not very close to the wide fairways. Fairways were very good. Greens were good for mid June and putted true. I was in four traps, one was hard and others were good. I took the wife and beginner son. They found the course tough due to length of ladies' and forward tees. We did not expect that at a retirement community. We teed off late morning on a cooler summer day and we rarely got near other groups. For the price we paid on Golfnow, I would be silly to complain about much here. As a tip, be careful on tee shots around the turn. There's some trouble you cannot see and the only map was on tee boxes rock. It can get very windy this far northeast of Palm Springs. I will go back soon.
WATER HAZARDS DIFFICULT
you have to think your way through the course instead power thru.
Great Day Out!
Came here with my wife to play in the early afternoon. We were sent off early and maintained our own pace throughout. Course is in good condition as the hot weather approaches.
Excellent day out!
Pleasant Surprise
First time playing. To the 16th hole, had the course to ourselves, and were allowed to tee off early. Fairways in great shape still, but the greens were pretty rough, putting was difficult. Very friendly and pleasant course. A little water made it somewhat interesting. If under $40 in the summer, a good value.
San gorgonio
No amenities but a very fair course in great shape. Friendly staff and good pace of play.
Great Course
It was a great course very yough but in great shape
Played 2 days in a row!
Beautiful resort golf course in terrific condition. Beautiful setting among homes, but very wide fairways, very few trees in play. Plenty of challenge for us high handicappers, with fast undulating greens (but fair), fairway bunkers aplenty for errant shots, enough water features to have to play carefully. Would recommend back tees for low handicappers. We enjoyed our first round so much that we took the same tee times today. Played each round with another couple, both times with comparable skill level (100+). We will sign up to play the second Mtn Vista course next time we are in the Desert!!
