West at Orangebrook Country Club
About
Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood boasts two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The golf courses are about equal in difficulty but each offers a different set of challenges. The West Course was added over 20 years after the original East Course, which was built in the 1930s. This newer layout has more water hazards and there are also several massive bunkers treacherously lurking about the greensides. The challenging elements are nicely balanced by wide-open, player-friendly fairways and small greens with few breaks. The golf course is overall very forgiving but it offers interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to players of all skill levels. In addition to the two golf courses, Orangebrook C.C. boasts extensive practice facilities that include a spacious lighted driving range with distance markers and a practice bunker.

"Wanna finish No. 11? Gotta go thru me!" Photo submitted by dprllm on 03/06/2015
Looking for a deal?
In South Florida, forget about paying $40-$50 for a round pretty much anywhere on a weekend. Thankfully Orangebrook exists. While the greens aren’t in the best of shape, the course overall is in OK condition but for $40 you really can’t beat it. If you aren’t looking to spend $80+ on a weekend for a round, Orangebrook is the spot.
It’s an okay course
If they worked a little bit on their greens this would be a great course. Carts staff wasn’t very nice when asked basic questions. I’d say, the pace of play was really good for a Saturday. Overall, you get what you pay for but it could be great if the greens were in better shape.
Reno has started
Orangebrook is where you go when you’re not looking for anything fancy, but still enjoy yourself. It’s kinda like a McD’s BigMac. You know exactly what you’re getting so you can complain if it’s not a steak or craft burger. The greens are small, generally a bit slow. It’s hard to lose a ball unless you splash one. My only caveat is the 18th on West was the bane of my existence (par 5 dogleg right for the approach), and now it’s a truncated par 4. Alas, never to be haunted by it again.
Great shape
The course was in the best shape we have seen it in. Love the wildlife! My only complaint is there are not nearly enough water fill stations.
You get what you pay for.....
Got to play golf for 11 bucks so I can't complain but the greens are hard as a rock and nothing will break like its suppose to. Just a forewarning, I enjoyed golfing and its not like I'm super serious about my score. I'd recommend coming here just play golf and fine-tune your skills cause it will be challenging to look for your ball outside the fairway.
Best Course in Town for the money
First time unfortunately it rain but we were able to play the 9 holes, definitely will come back.
Bad shape
Looks like they are working on it, but both courses are in bad shape
Poor conditions
I rated this average value for the money, because it’s one of the cheaper courses in the area, but the condition was terrible. I could hit a ball 10 feet off the fairway and lose every one of them in tall uncut grass. The sand traps were full of rocks, and either rock hard or very powdery. No rakes around the traps or on he cart. Greens were bumpy. On hole 8 the ranger told me I needed to pick up the pace because the ppl behind me complained. We finished as a two some rhe 9th hole I. Hour and 40 min. And 18 holes in 3.5 hours. How are we going too slow??
TLC
Course needs plenty of TLC n it would be nice, greens where rough n weeds everywhere, fairways were ok n some of the Tee Box were rough
Great for the price
So this place has “practice greens” that were terrible and recently sold their driving range for the new Hollywood police headquarters. So that was disappointing, but other than the greens being in rough shape, the layout was great! Driver friendly course and for the price, you can’t be mad at all.
Nice Golf Course
Nice Golf Course, well maintained but green could be a little better, enjoy playing there
