West at Orangebrook Country Club
About
Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood boasts two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The golf courses are about equal in difficulty but each offers a different set of challenges. The West Course was added over 20 years after the original East Course, which was built in the 1930s. This newer layout has more water hazards and there are also several massive bunkers treacherously lurking about the greensides. The challenging elements are nicely balanced by wide-open, player-friendly fairways and small greens with few breaks. The golf course is overall very forgiving but it offers interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to players of all skill levels. In addition to the two golf courses, Orangebrook C.C. boasts extensive practice facilities that include a spacious lighted driving range with distance markers and a practice bunker.

Good for the money
The course is not in geat shape, but for the price it was worth it. Played west and east. Front of east had horrible greens, but back nine was better. I liked the layout of west, best. Pro shop staff and starter friendly and helpful.
Great for cheap golf
Course is in rough shape. Greens looked bad but actually rolled pretty well. I paid a twilight rate and enjoyed my round. I wouldn't pay more than that to play here
Orange review
Sad - not worth the money - and it was pretty cheap
Poor conditions
Greens are in terrible conditions, pace of play was good that’s all
Expensive but worth it
If you have ever played golf in February in south east Florida, , you know most of the courses get a lot of play, causing the courses in Dade and Broward counties not to be in the best shape with regards to the fairways being matted down and the greens not being consistent with solid grass color and not having the same pace with every green making it difficult to read the greens.
I played the Tiger course and it was nothing like the lower cost courses I have played in these 2 counties. The fairways were plush, greens were consistent pace( ( fast) color easier to read. The layout was beautiful and challenging. The greens were not flat, they were large with had a lot of rolling terrain. You have to hit certain spots in the fairways or you will find usually water or sand that will penalize you.The staff was first class in helping you with your bag and pointing you in the right direction. The range balls, water, t’s , large putting area were included with the green fees. Beautiful facilities and amenities to enjoy before and after the round. If you want a great experience with first class golf with everything you need, go play Doral , you won’t regret it.
Closure soon ?
We played for the first time with friends living close by. If we would have known the greens conditions, we would have played elsewhere and aeing how they shorted the 18th hole on the West Course to have the new Police station built, wondering if their intention is to simply close this course soon. Time will tell.
Not expensive and ok
The West course is not very well maintsined. The worst is that all flash are orange and there is no way to know where the flag really is.
Really ruff shape
Played over a year ago, was a decent course. It’s really run down now. Greens are really bad- most anyway. The last hole was oh but still not 4 stars. 2 stars at best.
Golf now called to tell them that the course is horrible and the golf not representative told me he was told “the course is in great condition “ lol that’s a flat out lie. The course is 80% garbage. Couple greens were eh/ok. Fairways were mostly ok. That’s all. But the greens, garbage. There’s no way they are not aware. But I guess since most people play for $25 they aren’t complaining- I paid $80. So I need better conditions.
2 Older ladies in the shop were just blah. The kid was cool & nice. Both seemed to want to give the young kid at the desk a hard time. Seemed like one wanted to sit there doing nothing while the kid does all the work, the other was just plain rude. Why even be there? She can just go home.
The starter was nice. The Cart guy was also very nice. Liz adds everywhere which is ok lol it’s Florida. But the raccoons out on the course during the daytime? That seemed weird.
