About
Orangebrook Country Club in Hollywood boasts two 18-hole courses, the East and the West. The golf courses are about equal in difficulty but each offers a different set of challenges. The West Course was added over 20 years after the original East Course, which was built in the 1930s. This newer layout has more water hazards and there are also several massive bunkers treacherously lurking about the greensides. The challenging elements are nicely balanced by wide-open, player-friendly fairways and small greens with few breaks. The golf course is overall very forgiving but it offers interesting risk-reward opportunities that will appeal to players of all skill levels. In addition to the two golf courses, Orangebrook C.C. boasts extensive practice facilities that include a spacious lighted driving range with distance markers and a practice bunker.

This course blows
The tee boxes are thick. The fairways are alright. The rough is super high. The greens are brown and have two different kinds of grass growing and they greens are also bumpy and don’t have true rolls. The price is alright but for the price this place still is not good at all.

Discourse is going downhill rapidly. The fairways are not trimmed the rough or too high for a public course. You need 50 balls to play this course because you’ll lose them all on the fairways.

Hollywood's Best
Why the politicians keep trying to alter Orangebrook into something other than the great golf course it is is beyond me. It does need some TLC, but it is a fun place to play.

Good course
I went at 1.30 and it was pretty empty due to hot weather, people probably don’t wanna play. Still no water nor cartgirl to drink water. And when you finish the first 9 you are so far from the clubhouse you gonna be out of water so bring plenty. The course is a good shape but the roughs are so long that you will lose some balls. I was near 2 yards of the balls and still wasn’t able to find for some time.

Lost too many balls trying to find them in the tall grass. If you don’t hit the fairway good luck finding your ball.

Course set up nicely. Greens are slow, but in good shape.
No beverage cart.
All the water stations are NO MORE.
Bring water.
Have played Orangebrook for years. Always fun time.

Terrible greens
The fairways and tee boxes were in good shapes. The rough was pretty long but the real issue is that some of the greens were extremely patchy and almost unputtable. Very little places to get a drink on the course either so bring water for a hot day.

Clubhouse Bar Attendant is Horrible
The course, value, conditions and pace of play was great for a Friday Round.
Now let’s get to the problem, the bar attendant /waitress has an unbelievably bad attitude and ridiculously bad customer service skills. So bad that I had to get the GM involved who stated that she always acts in that unprofessional way. For the life of me, I don’t understand why she is still employed there. Her antics are not conducive to making a profit on the food and beverage side of the house for this club and this will eventually affect the bottom line of the club as a whole.
She needs to be fired immediately.
