Hollywood Beach Golf Club

Played twice recently. Layout is excellent, if unusual; back to back par 3s on each side, for example. Greens are slow and the course needs a bit more care, but there is a lot to be interested in here and the price and pace of play are very attractive.

Everything went well. Course looked good considering what we've been thru.

This is the first time I played this course. First, I will say that of the south Florida courses I have Played the last 3 weeks, this one had the largest iguanas by far. Interesting lizards for sure. There were a few holes that needed a little TLC. The greens slow since the grass was a bit long and indeed a few greens needed TLC as well. Pro shop nice, rest rooms clean as well. Some easy holes and some very challenging holes so a good mix. Despite the need for a little TLC, I did enjoy my round and will good back. Can't beat the price.

It's a very good value for money! Some areas of the fairways are not perfect and the tees are pretty peeled but overall it's nice with some good water challenge. Would be back

I'm not sure why this course is not in much better shape being owned by a golf pro..When golf now has a hot deal for 25 bucks I like to book it..I hope they put some money into this course it can really be a lot nicer..Still not bad for 20-25 bucks though.

Shocked myself with a 38 on the front nine. My average 43 on the back.

Oblivious people who won’t let you play through despite their excruciating play... No one to hurry anyone up on the course... Cart girl was napping in the corner of the course in her cart when we came through... Couldn’t tee off one hole because some random person that wasn’t playing was strolling down the middle of my fairway... Bad experience

Basic straightforward golf. You can score here but there are a legitimate number of really challenging holes especially when you play the back tees. When the greens speed up you'll find a great amount of character and runoff in them. Don't be fooled by the first two holes which are reachable par 5's for the more advanced player. Score here early because you will appreciate a little cushion moving forward in your round.

$21 for 18 and two carts? Say no more.

It dumped rain twice and the course maintained its integrity. prehistoric animals rule the land but respect your game and do not get in the way; they are most excellent hosts.

Clubhouse offers free 10pc wings with a $20 bucket of beer and you can mix and match your choice brews...

Highly suggest taking a swing out there.

Nice layout, the proposed renovations would do wonders for this course. Apparently since it is owned by the City there is a lot of red tape involved. Which is restricting the managements budget and ability to return this property to great course in Hollywood

If you can’t play anywhere else this place will do. But I wouldn’t come back

Just very disappointing. Course very minimally maintained. Green appeared to have not been cut for a few days. Just a guess. Like putting on your front yard. Its Florida 82 and mostly sunny and its golf. Don't expect much on the course it just not being maintained all that well. Noticed this the last few times we have played there. Not worth the money right now. Try someplace else first. Staff was ok, bev cart lady was awesome.

The first two holes are short par 5s. I shot par on both so was feeling good and thinking the course was pretty easy, then the collapse came lol. I’m sure it was more me than the course itself, but there are a few narrow holes with a creek that runs through right about driving distance. Makes you have to think and sometimes play accordingly. Overall a nice course that was in good condition. Would certainly go back

I've played here a few times, PBA Pro mark mccumber supposedly bought it a few years back..One thing for sure he did not pit any money into it...The fairways stink lots of dirt no grass, the greens aren't the best and most sand traps are like playing out of concrete..This course is not worth more than 25 bucks..I think that the county course Orangebrook is in better shape.
