Hot deal for this course was worth it! I really enjoyed the layout of this course. Was not too difficult, had a lot of scoring opportunities. Will play this this one again for sure.

i've played this course many times as it is great value for your money. Its not very long, 6300 from the tips, but still poses a challenge especially for mid and high handicappers. I've always enjoyed my experience there.

Greens were rough looking and my cart died out on the tenth hole. The guy who exchanged the cart wasn't that nice. Need to be more friendly.

The course conditions were not good. So many courses to choose from, they should keep this place in better shape to stay competitive. I'm only in Florida once a year for a golf trip; probably won't ever play this course again.

We played6,7,8,9,10,11,17,18 the holes twice. The rest of the holes were flooded. I have played here many time before, and I give it a 4 out off 5. It's a good course not to expensive.

Played late in the day, had to play first 5 holes quickly to accommodate league play. Hot day & the greens were dry & full of pivots. $18 was a good price though & the course is decent.

Looking to get out and play a quick round, this place is no country club but the course is well maintained and is fun to play. Great food for after your round.

Seems to happen a lot when private or semi-private courses become public. The tee boxes were beat up. The greens were in very poor condition and the rough was rough. The bunkers weren't sandy, but muddy (some) and firm (others). Even the locker room was musty. Course is challenging and has some nice scenery, but needs better maintenance. Interestingly some of the par 4s are as long as the par 5s, even from the middle tees. They probably should shorten a a couple of the 400+ par 4 holes to something more management for most amateurs.

It rained for 10 min straight and holes1, 2, and 4 were cart path only. I skipped 3 cuz it's a par 3. So I would say almost the whole east side of the layout floods easily. If your going and it has trained in awhile it s a nice local course.

For my first time playing i was disappointed. The course has a nice layout. For 6300 yrds the layout makes it play longer but for the price i paid i was expecting a course in better shape. Every lie had a different type of grass, the greens were bumpy and extremely slow and the bunkers seemed to have a dirt instead of sand. Im not a picky player but for the price there are a lot of better options out there.

First time we played here, enjoyed the course & the food was great!
Very unhappy with the fact that we came across only 2 Water fountains on the whole 18 hole course and both were not functioning properly.
They were both plugged in, but they did not dispense cold water. It was a huge disappointment as the weather was nice & hot.

look i am of the opinion, if you love the game , you play as many of the old courses you can ...1924..that's old right ?!?
did not have the severe mounding of the greens that made ross's courses so unique in their challenge..and this course had been aerated recently...is it a sara bay
no... he designed sooo many ...and there is a lot of similarities to a number of other "public" ross courses i have been on ...but ,for 15.00 !!!

I was the 1st player of the day and played alone in less than 2 hours. The greens had been punched and were slow. They would have been slow anyway. They were Bermuda. Putting was like being in "Challenge Golf" or "The Big Three". The lay out was interesting, but not one I liked. The course had too many holes that duplicated each other. The par 3's were roughly the same distance from the black tees on most holes, 185-200. There were also some very annoying par 4's that had a water hazard about 215 to 240 from the tee box, all the way across the fairway. It took a perfect tee shot to lay up or to drive your ball over the hazard. I chose to lay up every time (3 holes like this I think) and was left with 200+ yards. I found this to be annoyingly tricked-up and the water hazards were not at all estheticly pleasing. They were totally placed and man made looking. As a result, of these water holes, the course played much longer than the distance on the scorecard. It also played long because it only had 2 par 5's that were about 470 from the tips, making it a par 70 course. The par 3's and 4's were elongated due to the shortened par 5's and there only being 2 of them. Also, the rough is penalizing and sometimes the grass in the rough is standard lawn grass.
The good thing about the course is that it is a throwback looking course, it does look and play like you're in Florida, it was cheap, and the staff is friendly.

Visiting from out of state. Enjoyed the venue, friendly staff, course is maintained. Bunkers could use some additional sand. Biltmore feel at a fraction of the cost.

I couldn't believe how poorly conditioned this course was. An old Donald Ross gem has been let go badly.

Every tee box? Not grass, rather cut down weeds. Every fairway? Not grass, rather cut down weeds.

The greens were the only saving grace for this course.

The people in the pro shop were pretty rude. We arrived a little bit early and were told we couldn't check in until 3pm as we were booked at a twilight rate? I totally understand this if we were about to cut off others who were paying a higher price, but there wasn't another soul around (understandable given the conditions).

The extra 45 minutes were spent in the restaurant, which was the only highlight of the facility. Food was definitely decent though the prices for drinks were even a bit high.

I played seven round in Florida on this last trip and have probably played 50-60 different courses throughout the state over the years. This was by far the worst conditioned course of any that I played.

Good challenging course , water on couple par 4 makes the round very interesting . Lots of interesting wild life. Would play again

I've been playing this course for years and and its still a challenge to this day. Great staff, super friendly and fun to talk to.
