About
Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club offers a championship course where you can enjoy a private and secluded setting free of homes anywhere near the fairways, tees, or greens. Donald Ross originally designed the golf course in 1924. It has a classic layout that has withstood the test of time to become one of the area's most popular public courses. Seasoned golfers will find that the course is not the most challenging but it is good for a casual round that will still keep you on your toes. The course is tight, requiring a fair amount of accuracy. There are not many hazards but there are some and they are very strategically placed. The layout is player friendly enough to accommodate a range of skill levels and the affordable rates make Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club doubly appealing.

Fun course. Great layout
Played this course for the second time yesterday. Course was in pretty good shape. You can tell it just need more water due to south Florida not receiving much rain in the past month. Greens rolled true and fairways were great. Overall I would recommend this course especially for the price.
What a great course
Played a round here for the first time and I was pleasantly surprised. I avoided it in the past because there is no driving range, and I like to warm up before I hit the tees. I finally decided to give it a try, and I wasn't let down. The staff was very friendly, and the course was in great shape. This is an older course with a lot of charm. I will definitely be back!!

Fun, a lot of water though
Great afternoon, had to deal with quite a bit of water on the course. Great for novice intermidiate golfers. Would definitely return to play.

Be prepared to wait
I paid for 18 holes, but left after only 9 because we were having to wait on every shot! The course was nice but be prepared to wait or to spend about 5 to 6 hours on a Saturday morning. Bottom line for me - not worth it.

Classic Hollywood course
Old course with a lot of history (used to host PGA events back in the day, was remodeled years and years ago). Fun layout. Some tricky holes that are challenging off tee. Overall not in the best shape, but good enough and decent value. Grew up in the area, have played a lot of rounds there over the years. Will play there again when back in town.... For tradition sake, not because the course is outstanding. Clubhouse and grill/restaurant are old, I've never eaten there and probably never will.
This course has never held PGA events back in the day. It was designed by Donald Ross but Donald Ross never step foot on the property. None the less, the golf course is a good track that was fit into a small area
Great course for amateurs
Fairways are wide and most holes were slice happy friendly. I found the greens to be the most challenging. Overall price is plenty worth the visit. Play later as course is not as busy.

Great Local Course
Great speed of play under three hours without the "Snow birds or Slow birds" thanks.
Highly recommended and great shape for South Florida.
Still needs driving range and short game with bunkers area.

good course even for beginners
all was great ! only wierd thing is that I'm travelling with my wife and we share a bag with the clubs.........and they want each player to have his own bag and set of club which I find a little rigid. then the starter sorted it out by giving us another bag so we could split the set in two.......

Good Mid priced course , even in the high season.
I'd hate to see them close this course as planned. Greens were smooth and even, course was interesting but not difficult. Played in less than 4 HRs on a Sunday (mid day) - and never got pressed or waited.

Nice layout, shame about the bunkers
A nice layout, with plenty of trees and interesting holes.
Greens were good condition, tricky, and most were upside down saucers. This often got us in the bunkers, which was the only real problem...
...no-one seemed to have raked the bunkers, which invariably meant that we ended up in footprints.
Anyway, we ate at the 19th hole, and it was excellent.
Overall, very good value for money, for a course so close to the coast

Recent game played
We love the course for the variety and challenges. The fairways need help as they are sometimes rough and bare. There could be better access to restroom facilities, although there are water fountains as you play.

Could be better
For the location the course could of been in better shape for the money greens are small and not in good shape this making them very slow to put on. The traps were not raked for the start of the day. Not really worth the money
