Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club
About
Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club offers a championship course where you can enjoy a private and secluded setting free of homes anywhere near the fairways, tees, or greens. Donald Ross originally designed the golf course in 1924. It has a classic layout that has withstood the test of time to become one of the area's most popular public courses. Seasoned golfers will find that the course is not the most challenging but it is good for a casual round that will still keep you on your toes. The course is tight, requiring a fair amount of accuracy. There are not many hazards but there are some and they are very strategically placed. The layout is player friendly enough to accommodate a range of skill levels and the affordable rates make Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club doubly appealing.

Good value
Nice relaxing day to play . Not too busy for a Sunday
This place is horrible
This is easily the worst course I have ever played. Greens are absolute trash . Fairways are garbage and everything around the green is grass you would find in your backyard when you occasionally see grass . EVERY green is covered In dead patches . The fact the ask $65 for this dog track is a joke
Nice staff
Staff was super nice fairways were in decent condition tee boxes for the most part were 6/10 greens on some hood could use some TLC. Only issue was the pace of play was pretty slow our tee time was at 2:37 and we didn’t get to tee off until 3:10
Worst course in South Florida
Went here today with some friends. Such a nice day wasted on what is easily the worst course in south Florida. From the tee boxes to the greens, every hole was in complete disrepair. Dirt tee boxes, fairways that are essentially cow pastures, and greens that haven’t been maintained since Jack Nicklaus was on Tour. Never playing here again, and I hope that this review saves some. Just an awful, awful course.
Course sucks
All they care is about taking your money.
Tee box has no grass
Putting green is really bad
They jam everyone in so your wait on the tee box is 10 minutes or longer.
I will never play here again and would not tell my friends to play here
Horrible and a Rip Off If you book through golf now
The course would not honor the price quoted on Golf Now and charged us an additional $7/pp. I called GN and got an apology, but no refund.
The cost turned out to be $62/pp. The course is in HORRIBLE shape. Fairways were a mixture of crabgrass and dirt. Greens were just as bad, cups hadn't been moved in probably weeks. Not even worth $20/pp to play, no less $60+. Stay away from this course. Not worth it!
You get what you pay for
Really nice layout, Nice atmosphere but the fairways need attention, greens to slow and tee box are wasted!
Good Shape - TERRIBLE Pace of Play
Course is in good shape. However, be prepared for the following: stacked tee sheet with times every 7 minutes; a wide open course with little personality; hacks as far as the eye can see; people shanking balls onto your fairway and tee box (had many close calls out here, luckily average ball speed is well below 60 mph for the hacks out here so a direct shot to the head probably wouldnt be too bad); 30+ handicappers (being generous) playing shots from adjacent fairways as they ineffectively try to get their ball back onto the correct hole; donkeys waiting for green to clear from 250 our when they only hit their drive 205; not a ranger in site. Enjoy!
Unputtable greens
I play this course every time I’m in the area and normally enjoy the round but on this occasion I was informed that the greens were recently top dressed. It was more like putting on a sand trap. Otherwise the course was fine and well-maintained. I was planning on playing it at least another time while I’m on my stay but the condition of the greens will have me look elsewhere
Course getting better was wet, city needs to spend the money that was approved years ago
Great Course and Friendly Staff
First time plying this course, and had a great time, fairways and greens are in great condition. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. Needless to say that I will be back for sure.
