Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club offers a championship course where you can enjoy a private and secluded setting free of homes anywhere near the fairways, tees, or greens. Donald Ross originally designed the golf course in 1924. It has a classic layout that has withstood the test of time to become one of the area's most popular public courses. Seasoned golfers will find that the course is not the most challenging but it is good for a casual round that will still keep you on your toes. The course is tight, requiring a fair amount of accuracy. There are not many hazards but there are some and they are very strategically placed. The layout is player friendly enough to accommodate a range of skill levels and the affordable rates make Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club doubly appealing.

Muddy Mess
This course was not in the least bit playable. Standing water everywhere. Mud everywhere. I get it it's south Florida and close to the beach. However, 4 sets of tees on par 3's where under repair and had to play from 50 yds out. This should have been forewarned on the golf now page but wasn't. Used to like this track but never again.
Average course
The course is just okay in my opinion. The people working there don't seem like they want to be there. All of them. It's not a terrible course but the people make me not want to come back.

Poor golf course
All par 3 where in reparation. They gave me 50 yards on each. Greens in very bad condition. Par 5 = 435 .Par 4 = 420 yards !

Course under construction
Large part of course is under construction. Greens are in terrible shape.

The greens were u never and no grass in the middle, sides, and rough in the front part.

Worst Golf course Ever
Worst Golf course I played so Far in South Florida !!
Not on'y the layout is bad but the overall condition of the course is really bad,
Greens are horrible and slow aa a Fairway. First time there, won't ever go back again.. Wouldn't recommand to anyone even at that price

Good course in the Hollywood area
Hot deal for this course was worth it! I really enjoyed the layout of this course. Was not too difficult, had a lot of scoring opportunities. Will play this this one again for sure.

the green was not beautiful and it was full of sand but the course was good

Good value for the money.
i've played this course many times as it is great value for your money. Its not very long, 6300 from the tips, but still poses a challenge especially for mid and high handicappers. I've always enjoyed my experience there.

The course is in fair shape
Greens were rough looking and my cart died out on the tenth hole. The guy who exchanged the cart wasn't that nice. Need to be more friendly.

Too much competition
The course conditions were not good. So many courses to choose from, they should keep this place in better shape to stay competitive. I'm only in Florida once a year for a golf trip; probably won't ever play this course again.

Wet
We played6,7,8,9,10,11,17,18 the holes twice. The rest of the holes were flooded. I have played here many time before, and I give it a 4 out off 5. It's a good course not to expensive.

Good for the price
Played late in the day, had to play first 5 holes quickly to accommodate league play. Hot day & the greens were dry & full of pivots. $18 was a good price though & the course is decent.
Great course
Looking to get out and play a quick round, this place is no country club but the course is well maintained and is fun to play. Great food for after your round.

Chellenging Course, but not in the best shape!
Seems to happen a lot when private or semi-private courses become public. The tee boxes were beat up. The greens were in very poor condition and the rough was rough. The bunkers weren't sandy, but muddy (some) and firm (others). Even the locker room was musty. Course is challenging and has some nice scenery, but needs better maintenance. Interestingly some of the par 4s are as long as the par 5s, even from the middle tees. They probably should shorten a a couple of the 400+ par 4 holes to something more management for most amateurs.

don't go if it rained
It rained for 10 min straight and holes1, 2, and 4 were cart path only. I skipped 3 cuz it's a par 3. So I would say almost the whole east side of the layout floods easily. If your going and it has trained in awhile it s a nice local course.
It is unformtunate that the 2 star rating you provided was based on weather conditions we could not control. We would love to have you back when the weather permits so you can provide us feedback of how you feel our facility is!
Hollywood beach
For my first time playing i was disappointed. The course has a nice layout. For 6300 yrds the layout makes it play longer but for the price i paid i was expecting a course in better shape. Every lie had a different type of grass, the greens were bumpy and extremely slow and the bunkers seemed to have a dirt instead of sand. Im not a picky player but for the price there are a lot of better options out there.
