Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club offers a championship course where you can enjoy a private and secluded setting free of homes anywhere near the fairways, tees, or greens. Donald Ross originally designed the golf course in 1924. It has a classic layout that has withstood the test of time to become one of the area's most popular public courses. Seasoned golfers will find that the course is not the most challenging but it is good for a casual round that will still keep you on your toes. The course is tight, requiring a fair amount of accuracy. There are not many hazards but there are some and they are very strategically placed. The layout is player friendly enough to accommodate a range of skill levels and the affordable rates make Hollywood Beach Golf & Country Club doubly appealing.

Must Have Been Great
Public course with lots of play, so you can imagine the the condition of the greens, tee boxes, and overall upkeep. But the design is excellent. If you don't care much about eye candy, then this is the course to play in the area. Back in the day it must have been something. A good 35 to 40 dollar course, but the prices are jacked up for the birds from places north. Will play again and will recommend the course to anyone who loves playing the game.
Crusty fairways.
The tees and geerns were acceptable, but the fairways were crusty and the ball had no cushion at all. You had to pick the ball off the surface, If you tried to hit down on the ball, it went right under the ball the ball taking a huge divot.

Nice Surprise
This course was convenient to where I was staying on my first trip to this area.it proved to be an enjoyable experience with the right level of challenge for me. I recommend it to others who may find themselves in the Hollywood area.

Nice course
first time for me on this course..it was a very enjoyable round. I struggled on more then a few holes. but i'm somewhat erratic. I plan to return again.. good value.

Tougher than it looks!
I've always enjoyed this course, when it hasn't rained in a couple days. Pace was a tad over 4:15 hrs which isnt bad for season on Friday afternoon. Keep and eye on your balls because they have a tendency to dissappear once they land. The greens could be a bit better but in good enough condition for consistent putting. They played faster than I recall but from other favorite course in Broward I would give them 7/10. Overall I enjoy the challenge and there are still good GolfNow deals to make the price worth it.

Will Play Again
Convenient to get to (depending where you are in South Florida), this pretty Hollywood course is not long, nor is it particularly challenging. Holes are pretty close together, so errant shots can land nearby. There are enough strategically placed bunkers and water hazards to make it interesting. Course conditions are pretty good, although there are a few bare or thin patches on the fairways and greens. It is pretty well maintained and landscaped, and we had no trouble getting around in under four hours.

very slow pace on this day until marshall steped in for back nine,course in good condition but greens a bit bumpy

all facilities were renewed . the food is very good and service
this course has a few par 4's over 400 yards
if you don't have a good drive there's a few Par 4s that you won't get in regulations unless you are lucky
Great Donald Ross Gem
This course is a well kep secret and was in the best shape I have seen for the course. Starts with two Par 5's. The pace was fast as we were an early group. I recommend the course for the price paid.
Target Practice
The main complaint is the sandy greens, they roll true bug the speed is not predictable. It is a good place for target practice, but I would not take a group out there right now.

Not worth 50 bucks to golf this course. I have played public courses that were much better.
