About
Crossroads Golf Club offers a total of 27 holes, which includes an 18-hole championship course and a nine-hole par-3 course. The Championship Course has an open, parkland layout where you don't have to worry about hitting any homes. The layout has five par 3s and five par 5s, designed to appeal to players of all skill levels. The greens play fairly fast and there are mature trees lining the fairways. Water has a prominent presence on the golf course, coming into play on a majority of the holes. One of the most memorable water holes is the par-5 12th, which has a lake lining the entire right side. There are several strategically placed bunkers to watch out for as well. The Par-3 Course at Crossroads is worth checking out too, there's plenty of water and sand.

Crosswinds review
Fairways are in great shape however, too many greens are absolutely horrible. Yet they still want to charge a premium price to play. What they need to do is make some temporary greens and fix the really bad ones.

Not worth the price
I’m going to assume the pandemic and staffing issues hit Crosswinds hard. I don’t recall it being bad prior. On the 18 hole course, The greens are in bad shape and there is a lot of bare areas on the low spots of the fairway. The par 3 course is decent. Still not worth the price. Staff is friendly though!

Great Layout - Give it a chance
We showed up skeptical because a number of reviews leading up to our visit made the course seem like it was in bad condition. The area has not had a ton of rain so it was dry in areas, but not unplayable. The layout is fun and challenging. You are right near the runway for the Savannah airport which provided some cool flyovers from a squadron of F-14s that day. On the back nine there were definitely some greens that needed help, but this is NOT from poor maintenance. The course removed a ton of trees to provide more sunlight to those greens that are already starting to mend. Everyone in my group enjoyed the course, the staff and time we had. Can't wait to come back.

Spend your money elsewhere.
Staff was great. Condition of course was not good...80% of greens were in horrible condition...they should be called "browns" not greens. They removed a ton of trees. So, there is very little to no shade...and no division between fairways.

perfect day of golf
played 18 mid-morning on 4/27. Course is in generally excellent shape, but a few greens are coming in. 3,11,16,and 17 are not in very good shape right now. All the others rolled really well considering a recent aeration. Snack bar wasn't open, so bought cans of beer in the pro shop. Still a reliable stop in Savannah.

Crosswinds
Play this course every year on our Hilton Head Vacation. It has improved on every visit. but over all in good shape. They have taken some trees down to get more sun to problem areas. Second time this year, 2 greens a little spotty. great value pace of play has always been good for my groups.

Needs lots of work
They've been trying to improve the course for years to get it back to "good" condition. But it's not working, not yet anyway. Many fairways are spotty with grasses missing. Bunkers are fair, but some hold water and were damp. Worst feature is their greens. Many were broken, grass missing, muddy diseased areas. Some were pretty good. The greens are pretty much a lost cause and probably need rebuilding. Cart paths were generally okay. Thus used to be a very, very good course, but you can't let the fairways and greens fall into this state. It'll take years to rebuild, me thinks. I'd probably wait a good bit before returning.

Poor condition.
Majority of greens on the back 9 where unplayable. Nothing mentioned when booking or paying.. Great layout so it was a shame the course conditions were so poor.

Unfortunate waste of money
I hate to give this course a bad review but we wasted our money playing it. The staff is fantastic, there was no one on the course so pace was great. But maybe that's because the greens were pretty bad. Not sure if they had burn out or what but at least 3 were hitting off dirt, 1 or 2 were so bumpy good luck with that. A few things to improve would be adding more signs to find where to find the next hole and make sure if it's cart path only then mention that. We were told that and signs showed that which made it take much longer, but after half way through someone said we didn't have to stay on the paths. Overall this could be a nice course but right now as of 4/9/2022, it's just not worth it.

Greens were in poor condition
Food was sub-par, French fries were not cooked enough and chips were a bit stale.

Deplorable Conditions
A convenient location to meet friends driving from SC, while we come from farther south. We like the layout. Staff is very friendly.
Greens were slooow, had been punched, but a number of greens had large patches with no grass. Same with fairways. Tee boxes as well. They appear to be trying to make improvements (bunkers are much better than last year), but they have a long way to go.
Oh - hold your breath before going into the men’s room. Needs a serious steam cleaning and disinfecting.
