About
Crossroads Golf Club offers a total of 27 holes, which includes an 18-hole championship course and a nine-hole par-3 course. The Championship Course has an open, parkland layout where you don't have to worry about hitting any homes. The layout has five par 3s and five par 5s, designed to appeal to players of all skill levels. The greens play fairly fast and there are mature trees lining the fairways. Water has a prominent presence on the golf course, coming into play on a majority of the holes. One of the most memorable water holes is the par-5 12th, which has a lake lining the entire right side. There are several strategically placed bunkers to watch out for as well. The Par-3 Course at Crossroads is worth checking out too, there's plenty of water and sand.

Terrible course
I felt like I was playing a course in Oklahoma. Dry, sanded greens, virtually not puttable. Really bad conditioning. Next to an airport with jumbo jets flying overhead. Eppley named Crosswinds golf course due to the Crosswinds on every hole. Find another course.

AM Crosswinds
Needs some signs. Staff was ok but not overly friendly. Kind of told me where #1 tee was but not really. I enjoyed the course layout. Unsure of Georgia seasons and weather. May have been early in year. Greens not in very good shape. Patchy with lots of bare spots. Fairways where average. More signs on course pointing out way and especially at end showing way back to club house.

Good layout/poor conditions
Normally I would recommend this course. This time, I would not. The conditions were disappointing. Many bare spots in the fairways and greens. Played here many times and this was by far the poorest shape I've experienced. Hopefully, this is a short term issue.

Worst Greens
Crosswinds has been a long time favorite course of ours however this is the worst I have ever seen the greens. Number 17 was entirely sand. They have no warning about condition.

Savannah Day Trip
Value was outstanding! Layout was interesting and challenging but several of the greens were not up to par. Pace of play seemed somewhat slow for the two of us but we still finished under four hours….very acceptable!

Good Layout...but!
This is not our first time playing Crosswinds and it is evident that the course needs work, starting at the practice range. It's time for some new balls! As for the course it is a nice layout. We like Crosswinds and will give it the benefit of the doubt that Covid has had an effect on it like everything else. However, the course has had many of its trees removed since last we played and it looks like there was no real plan as to what stays and what goes. As for the course, I assume removing the trees will help the greens battle back as they need a lot of help.

Good for stopover
Selected Crosswinds primarily for its location - right of I-95 near Savannah Airport. I chose it to break up a journey from VA to FL. Nice way to break up the journey.

Disappointed
I’ve played Crosswinds many times and this is the first time I can remember giving them a bad rating. I see they are cutting trees and trying to make improvements but you still have to maintain the basic conditions.
Fairways looked bare in many places and several greens had weeds and sandy, bare spots. I don’t know the reason but hopefully it will improve as it warms.
There was a starter since it was a holiday but they still allowed a sixsome to play. Glad I didn’t catch them before the 16th hole.

disappointed
I have never seen this course is such poor conditions! The greens were sprayed and cut so low it was like walking on dirt. They have cut so many trees down and the debris were left all through the course and took away from the course beauty! I have played this course over the years so many times that this was the first time I was disappointed. They are trying but it may take some time to get it back

Lots of work being done
Greens were a bit off for this course. So much work being done which should result in much improved airflow and sunshine and shedding water. I expect it will be back to its usual high standards in short order
