About
Green Valley Country Club in Clermont sprawls across rolling hills that were once used for citrus farming. The unusually undulating terrain allows for scenic vistas all around, including a panoramic view of Lake Minneola from the sixth fairway. The golf course boasts some of the highest elevations in Lake County and the routing of the layout does much to take advantage of the sloping terrain. Throughout the golf course you'll find linear fairways and large rolling greens that call for heroic carries. Water hazards come into play on a few holes but in order to let the natural contours shine, bunkering was kept to a minimum. You'll only find it along the front and sides of the greens. Green Valley Country Club's seventh is one of the toughest holes, with an intimidating peninsula green that requires an epic drive in order to reach it in regulation.

Golfer Reviews
Great Course/ needs some extra care
We liked the course and layout as well as location but it needs some work.
Fun course and friendly staff.
We really enjoyed our time at Green Valley Country Club. They have made fast improvements to the course, and it is looking great. The staff went above and beyond and the clubhouse food was delicious.
We'd play here again
Good for the money. 1st few holes are a little rough but the rest is pretty good. Some challenging holes, dogleg and blind hills. A couole foursomes in front of us and we still had a 3 1/2 hr round. would recommend the course.
Challenging
Let me say upfront that the people at GV are as friendly as can be.
The course elevation changes and confounding breaks on the greens make it challenging. Also, the hardpan, bumps, dirt and roots challenge you to hit a good shot, or get out of trouble.
The greens are always in good shape but slowish right now, I imagine to speed up play.
GV is a great $40 course. Not $60. Sorry.
Don’t waste your money.
There are so many other inexpensive courses that you can play that are way better than this one. This is not a course. They tell you the first 3 holes are bad. That’s a lie. The whole course needs sooooo much work. It was better last year. It has great potential but totally neglected.
Really disappointed
This course could be so much better. We played lift clean and place everywhere. No grass at all in the fairways and very little to be found on the greens either.
The back nine has some really nice holes. They obviously don't have a big budget to maintain the course. It's really to bad.
BEWARE! Terrible Conditions!
This course is in absolute terrible condition. We purchased this through Group Golfer, so other than the review, which seemed favorable, we thought we’d give it a try while visiting the area. What a mistake! The tee boxes are brown and void of grass. The fairways were horrendous, and void of grass as well. The rough areas were bumpy with all different kinds of turf. The greens appear to be okay, but certainly are deceiving, as they could be rolled and aerated. Many of the approaches to the greens were in tough shape. I got so frustrated, I just gave up and quit playing.
The best part of this course was John who was working at the clubhouse. He was certainly friendly and quick to recognize conditions need to be updated. It’s unfortunate to write a review such as this because this course has the potential of being really nice, but they are far from it.
Challenging, but fun
New owners are working hard to reestablish the fairway turf. The greens speed is somewhat inconsistent from one to another, but, it's a fun, inexpensive tract.
Fairways were a little brown and greens were fast play was good with little wait time between holes
