Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course
About
A Lloyd Clifton creation of Kings Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is an 18-hole beauty and Lake County's best-kept secret. Great greens, severe elevation changes, and well-placed hazards will keep you focused on this course. By focusing on the importance of playability, aesthetics and maintenance, Clifton has captured the natural beauty of the area. It is "thinker's course" where players have an opportunity to use every club in the bag.
King's Ridge opened a second 18-hole course in 2002. The new Ridge Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is a Par 57, 3660-yard course designed by Ron Garl, making this an ideal location for your 36-hole day.

A Bit Crusty and Dry
Too bad the owners have not kept up the maintenance on this course. It has gone downhill over the past 6 months or so. Fairways were pretty thin with lots of bare spots and weeds. The greens were firm and hard but were drying out. The course needs rain or more irrigation.
Greens Need Work
Greens are difficult to putt because of all the goose grass and weeds, bumpy condition. Many greens have huge bare spot which are just dirt and hard-pan. The course is one of the nicest layouts in Central Florida and it is fun to play, when it is in reasonable condition. Charging $65 for the condition this course is in is much too much. Plus pace of play is always slow.
Good course for the money
You often get what you pay for but this course is better than the fee they charge. Nice layout and in decent shape for November. Because of recent overseeing, it was rough only but very playable. Greens were a little tough and fuzzy but I’m sure better days are ahead. The staff was cordial and helpful. I’ll be back b
Great first time
First time here and really enjoyed the course
Great staff
Mike in the clubhouse was very hospitable
Enjoyed the pace of play
Definitely coming back
Great value as usual
Overseeding so fairways a little longer than normal and greens slow. But overall in good shape!
Friendly staff!!!
My wife and I had a great time! Staff were very friendly and course was in GREAT shape!!!
Fun course
King's Ridge King's Course is a fun layout. It's in significantly better shape than it was the last time I played the course, but I honestly can't rate it better than average. The starter was a super nice guy. No frills in the pro shop, but the young man at check-in was very nice. There's a nice driving range as well as chipping & putting greens.
Always a fun track..
If you've played all the usual Central Florida golf courses, you need to play here for something completely different. Honest to goodness elevations changes. A mix of wide open fairways, and some tight tee shots. Very little water (even lateral). Bunkers with sand not packed by rain and sprinklers so you can play explosion shots. Greens have some undulation and slope that definitely makes some approach angles more manageable than others. The greens are in good shape for the most part and the course was dry enough to get some run (mind you we haven't had much rain in the couple of weeks since Hurricane Milton). Always a fun course, just a solid hour drive from where I live, so I don't play there often.
Starter game
This course provided a good start for our US holiday. With wide fairways and a range of holes it provided a good test of golf .One or two greens were not in good condition and sadly some of the approaches to greens were not well presented but overall fairways were good.if rather bumpy after the tees.
The staff were friendly ,the bar was open until 6pm and the shop had a nice range of clothing at reasonable prices..Good value overall .Lovely buggies, quiet and comfortable.
T&M
Number of greens are in tough shape. At least two tee boxes were in very tough shape
Staff problem at Kings Ridge
The Starter shouted at me yesterday from the first tee as I was warming up in the practice area. He ended up forcing me to start ahead of my tee time so he could pair me up with a twosome. Very unprofessional.
Meh course
Tee boxes were very dry and worn. Fairways were hit and miss as it was thin in many areas. Greens were medium to quick and in decent shape. A very average course. Didn't have a wow factor. Question asked would I recommend to a friend? Only gave me a yes or no to answer. Probably not recommend, as other options for a similar priced are a bit better.
