Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course
About
A Lloyd Clifton creation of Kings Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is an 18-hole beauty and Lake County's best-kept secret. Great greens, severe elevation changes, and well-placed hazards will keep you focused on this course. By focusing on the importance of playability, aesthetics and maintenance, Clifton has captured the natural beauty of the area. It is "thinker's course" where players have an opportunity to use every club in the bag.
King's Ridge opened a second 18-hole course in 2002. The new Ridge Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is a Par 57, 3660-yard course designed by Ron Garl, making this an ideal location for your 36-hole day.

Disgraceful course!
Booked through Golf now for myself and two sons for what I thought, which was advertised as 18 hole golf course. On arrival was told 9 holes were closed and had to play the front 9 twice. Honestly has to be the worst course I have ever been to, it was actually unplayable. There was more weeds than grass on fairway, the tee boxes were disgraceful. Divets everywhere and mushrooms growing everywhere.we walked off after 9 as it was so bad.if this was back in Scotland the green keeper would be sacked. I did tell a member of staff why we left I should actually request to get my money back it's so bad.
Failed to provide full information
Aerification was noted while making reservation. When I arrived at course was told then “play front 9 twice”
Overall great course for the price
Came out a little worried from recent reviews, but the course was overall in good condition, only thing I’d say is the greens are a little choppy but they still stay true to the line. Tee boxes are pretty rough but level enough to not affect your tee shots.
If your looking for a course that’s not too expensive I’d pick this over Swiss fairways which sucks btw. But if you can afford something slightly more in the area I’d go with green valley or legends if you can get a good price.
Diamond with lots of rough
Positives
Great location, good course layout, pleasant staff.
Negatives
Very poorly maintained, no restaurant, no food options, shop lifeless and a bit dull.
Sadly would not return unless the movers and shakers at the club look around and weigh up the competition and use the potential the facility's is clearly crying out for.
Summer protective condition
Lovely layout and clearly well maintained. We were informed that the greens were slightly long to protect them from the very hot Florida sun. This said the were fun to play and presented an acceptable challenge. Really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely play again.
A Fun Tract
I play Kings Ridge every time I visit Clermont which is four times a year. I really like the course. However I’ve seen it in better shape. I understand it is hot in the summer but Bermuda turf should thrive in this climate. I think they should re-sod the tee boxes and mow the greens a little lower as they were very slow. I heard they have a new management group so hopefully things will be better when I return in October.
Boring
The course is not in great shape especially the greens.
Nothing interesting about the course layout.
Bad attention
I reserved two places to play, but my partner could not attend and I asked the proshop to give me a credit for the place to use in the future and he flatly refused to do so, that I should contact Golf now to file the claim and receive a return, the problem was that they confirmed the attendance of both, when I informed them that it was only one person who would play.
Poor condition
Most tee boxes were all weeds
Most greens were only average condition
Most fairways were only average condition
The course is a nice layout and fun to play
But condition need to improve
Too many weeds

The course is kind of boring, not much interesting in terms of terrain, water or bunkers.
It's not in horrible condition, but not great but the greens are very rough.
We won't play it again.
Great course for the price
Beautiful neighborhood course, needs some love but still very playable. Fairways are mostly in great condition, if you land off to the side, it starts to become more weeds than grass, but still playable. Tee boxes are a little rough, and greens weren’t perfect but the ball rolled true.
Overall, I would definitely recommend this course if you’re looking to have a cheaper golf day. Golf carts were clean and in good condition and the staff was great
Good round for the money
Great layout, good value for the money. Course has been in better condition. Lot of crab grass in greens. Greens were slow, didn't look like they had been cut. Fairways were average. Looks like some improvements of playing conditions were in progress
