Kings Ridge Golf Club - Kings Course
About
A Lloyd Clifton creation of Kings Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is an 18-hole beauty and Lake County's best-kept secret. Great greens, severe elevation changes, and well-placed hazards will keep you focused on this course. By focusing on the importance of playability, aesthetics and maintenance, Clifton has captured the natural beauty of the area. It is "thinker's course" where players have an opportunity to use every club in the bag.
King's Ridge opened a second 18-hole course in 2002. The new Ridge Course at Kings Ridge Golf Club is a Par 57, 3660-yard course designed by Ron Garl, making this an ideal location for your 36-hole day.

Pace of Play
Kings Ridge is a great course to play. It is challenging and in good condition. That being said it does have some faults. Pace of play at the course is slow. Four and half to five hour rounds are common. No Range on the course to move slow players along. I have played there many only to quit because of the long waits. You wait longer than you play. You spend time watching other people play. A ranger or player assistant could help greatly. It would be in Kings Ridge best interests to put a range on the course.
Very good condition course
First time playing this course and enjoyed the round very much. Fairways and greens were in good conditions. Will definitely be back for more rounds.
Alex I'm the pro shop need to be fired
First we waited 45 mins to get a cart which made it impossible to even play 9 holes. When I asked ,Alex, what happens when we can't finish the round we paid for he became nasty and hostile to a point he told me to shut up and threw my receipt at me. The crazy part is if you read the reviews there is a constant issue with carts going back several years as well as over a dozen reviews complaining how nasty the pro shop, Alex is. How does King's Ridge allow this nasty old very rude man work there for years with all these complaints. Alex need to be fired, NOBODY should be told to shut up let alone throwing the receipt at the guest. Alex you need to retire nobody likes you, you have been cancer at this course for a long time. The fact you sell food and candy and put the money in your pocket and not the till is stealing!!!!
FIRE ALEX!!!!!!!
Great course but nobody wants somebody nasty like Alex!!!!!!!!
bad experience
1:48 tee time. got to first tee at 3:00.
no carts available. waited on every tee for group ahead to tee off. course was in reasonably good shape. nice layout with some elevation change. greens have some character. would be good value if not for the pace of play.
How is it possible?
I’ve been late to my tee time both rounds here….. because….. they don’t have enough carts?
This course is in decent shape, and generally good fast greens. All of the greens are undulating, and a few pin placements are always borderline unplayable—as in getting the ball to stop anywhere near the hole.
Mgmt is running two 18-hole courses with insufficient carts for non members paying full rack rate.
Pace of play … varies. 4 hours starting near noon, but 3 hours for only 9 holes starting @ 3 pm.
Negatives: No rangers, no beverage cart, no gps.
Plus: electric carts.
Overall, the course was ok. The greens were in good shape and moderately fast. There are several greens with large slopes and pins were set in unfair spots on some of these. One green was covered with fallen leaves which should have been blown off by staff. Impossible to putt on this particular green.
Pro shop is under construction which is the reason for not so glowing review of off course amenities.
Nice course and worth $65 a round
Course and greens were in great condition. I will be back for sure
Vacationer
Real nice course and fun to play. Green were in good shape but difficult to read. Fairways and normal play areas were pretty good too. Good value for the price in this season.
